No these videos were just advertisements. They were going to make a move, but they were having problems for master chiefs character, considering he only speaks like 10 words per game. So Peter Jackson was thinking about just making it revolve around the war itself when Reach fell, and Master Chief would make his appearances.

Honestly speaking, although a silent protagonist running around an ancient ringworld makes for orgasmic gameplay, it doesn't make for a good film script or movie. The story of the war from a few select characters' points of views would be much better than just from the Chief's.

He made plenty of other live action clips and also said that he MIGHT have a movie by 2012 if he felt like producing one and he never did so he sold all the effects to other multiple producers. The whole project was just to prove that he COULD make a movie if he wanted.
