I have Atonement for my English A level and this is the first video about the book I saw.. I am guessing i shouldn't see the film if i want to find the book interesting if it's that what your trying to say.
hahahahha you thought eclipse was bad....don't even try Breaking Dawn. I read it after getting back from WOLFCG the year before last summer....and literally threw it against my wall. Yes. It was that bad.
Ian McEwan used to be my all-time favourite author, and he's still in my top three . . . I'm not as keen on 'Atonement', as his other stuff, but I love the way he writes - but he does have a weird style, and frequently weird storylines, and I know a lot of people who feel the same way as you. The world would be boring if we all had the same taste in books I guess :)
I know what you mean about getting stuck on books and then not reading for ages though :( Happens to me a lot.
Life is too short to read bad books. If you and the writer aren't a good match for each other, just break it off and move on to the next book. It's a lot like dating.

I'm trying to get through 108 books this year so I might add Atonement to my list and see if maybe I can get through it.

i loved the movie... haven´t read the book and i have a really long to read pile of books so i probably won´t be reading it in a long time :)

Yes! Eclipse was soo boring! Not much happens throughout the whole book,
I have atonement on my shelf, but i have not read it yet :D
