every pacific islander love japan forever, look work and sing!

  • Tial al multaj japanaj geknabinoj tiamaj, la milito estas romantika kaj felicha.

  • Ever notice the music is pretty firmly rooted in western tradition despite it being in Japanese

  • OMG THANK YOU This song is so damn catchy xD I love this film!

  • Anyone know where I can get an mp3 of this song?

  • Pathetic, it was not a cute and wonderful experience as this 1943 silly Jap propaganda made it out to be.

My grandfather told me the Japs made them recite their barbaric language every few weeks.

If you caught speaking Korean with one another and along with the Taegeukgi flag, you were tortured, beaten or conscripted to serve in the occupied territories in the Pacific, China and Southeast Asia depending on age.

He lost many colleagues from his class during the savage occupation.

  • Furries: "Alright, now that we have taught you the Katakana alphabet, we're gunna go kill some people!" ??? Propaganda is interesting :?

  • Those monkey lips are freaky.

  • Gee...all the cutsey woodland creatures sharpening their bayonets and cleaning their machine guns warm the cokcles o' me heart!

Ooo...let's not forget the cutsey slave animals building the runway. Too well fed, must be early in the war. You should see every rib in those elephants.

  • This is a sweet woodland rave party and all, but where does the dvine sea warriors part kick in?

  • Isnt there a sketch of itchy and scratchy in Irak?

  • if an american kid were to hear this song, it would teach them their vowels... i think

  • I heard a song similar to this one, except learning how to do my hiragana's.

  • cool the kids could learn the alphabet under the bombs

  • 0.0

Kangaroos willingly being taught the language of the new order?

This movie just got personal *le grrr*

  • nice cartoons but i don' t like the message...teaching kids about war and falsely desguising forced labor into something fun...guns and cartoons don' t match..and war is the most horrible of all human inventions

  • @amy051985

war isn't a human "invention". go watch some animal planet.

  • fine way in teaching the katakana alphabet.

  • am anfang da sjapanische abc finde ich so süüs..da sproblem is nur wenn ichs mir rechtüberlege der hintergrund der ganzen sache nämlich krieg ..da smacht es pervide ... einfach nur traurich

  • Excellent!

  • 'Cause English is lame...

  • With a statement like that and a name like yours, you must be Wapanese.

  • Overwhelmingly... It's great, cause I'm actually very nordic in background. Not a spot of asian in me!

  • why isn't the english alphabet song this awesome?

  • LOL yeah that right thay sing the japanese vertion of the alphabet lol a i u e o fa fi fu fe fo*sings*

  • Because the english alphabet wasn't about convincing a nation that being forced to submit to Japanese rule was actually fun.

This movie reflects the dangerous thinking of the Japanese government at the time. Don't be decieved by fluffies and katakana. Japan wasn't always the "Eastern West" it is today.

  • @Treemeadow

Yes it is well documented and taught in history at school. Fortunately Japan's dangerous war time thinking has long since passed, Japan is so different now and far greater because she learned from her mistakes.

Nowadays the dangerous thinking we have to be concerned with is US imperalism. Ironic since the USA were supposed to be the good guys in world war 2. But they let that victory go to her head. And the USA is unlikely to learn from its mistakes.

  • @aeris2001 That is very true.

I have always percieved Japan to be a wonderful place.

The U.S has wonderful people- horrible horrible Principles.
