I've never actually played the limited edition, so I can't compare them, but if I could change anything on this bass, I wouldn't, it's an awesome instrument. And as for live playing, I haven't played live with it, but can tell it's built like a tank and also pretty heavy, so I can only imagine it will hold up quite well.

I actually like both generations of the Epiphone Ripper. I was gonna get that '98 Ripper but the body was too huge for me to play sitting down, so I got the smaller Gibson Grabber bass with the sliding humbucker and a downsized maple body.
What are effects are you using apart from that Bass overdrive ?
