  • @hiyay23 yes. sousaphones. fiber glass sousaphones

  • Aren't those sousaphones?

  • Hell yeah!!! TUBA POWER!!!

    Face the BASS!!!

  • Wow... only guys. I feel like a loner! XD that was cool tho

  • Goddamn... so quiet. You need to blast get that sound across!

  • I am all for section pride and I know that this is a TUBA song but I play Trumpet and Baritone I play this on both, yes even my trumpet..... I know I know, haters gonna hate, but I don't really care much I am a Brass player! Brass is the best!!! woodwinds I have no comment for.....no offence XD.

  • concord Nc?

  • yesss!!!!!!!

  • i need the notes for that.

  • no girls?:(

  • tubas, hell yeah!

  • This song is awesome any1 know where I can find the notes for this it may be be to hard tho since I've played from 6th to 8th grade

  • Baritone?

  • @golfisborring hell yea man, weither you play contra or sousaphone, your still a tuba player! :D im a tuba at heart! for life! but my school has contras. but we are all tuba players like i said.

  • we play that song for our football games!!! and i am a tuba!! i think they messed up some. and we have the whole band joined in ours(: it sounds amazing, but they done good(; lol

  • Sousaphone is a tuba correct?

  • @TheAerosmith3 Sousaphones are just marching tubas.

  • @CoyoteGaming sousaphones is tires to be a tuba but fails. Sounds bad.

Why not use a real tuba instead?

Played in several marching bands and whe use real tubas with at least same reaults.

  • @fulf i use a sousaphone for marching band and i sound bad ass thank you

  • @fulf first of all a sousaphone is used more in marching bands for the bass parts to the music, a tuba is used for concert band , and a contra is used in a core style marching band, so if yew say dat you march with a tuba it is most likely a contra smart ass

  • @david21cpt Whe are a mixed band from the age of 17 and up. Everyone have its own instrument. The persons that play tuba right now uses a Bb tuba.

  • @fulf what style of band are ya?

  • @david21cpt Im in a homeguard marching band

  • @grizzlydipper9 Snake Pit/Sonic Boom :)

  • @golfisborring SUSAS FOREVER!!!!

  • good job i play the tuba

  • Fiberglass really?

  • @wuzuppeoplzz their not fiberglass ??? that's a cover they put on the bottom of the tube it's just white usually they're black

  • Not to hate on sousas. But, I prefer contras. They are much easier to mach with.

  • @ghettsulfer i dont know about that...how the heck do you balance that thing on your shoulder?

  • @mario51man

You gain a shit-load of strength from it. You get more sound out of a contra, It looks better in marching shows (Depending on the show. If it's brass colored instruments. Not so well but, silver colored. Way better.), and it has four valves. It's not as comfortable or cushioned as a sousaphone. But, it's just ten times better. The marching band I'm in. We don't have the luxury of holsters and shoulder pads. So, we go hardcore old-school fucking.

  • @ghettsulfer Neither does our band, and im the only susa in my band atm. they are not comfortable ifyou play shoulder tuba/contra

  • badass

  • WHAT SONG IS THIS

  • @johngonzales2143 I'm pretty sure is called snake. My school does it

  • @johngonzales2143 Sonic Boom....download it at tubapeter. com under free sheet music! :D♪

  • I wish Our Tuba section could play that well D:. BUT AWESOME!

  • im on a drumline and i love drumers but i hate when the try to play during other section songs like showoffs and make the song sound bad.

  • Comment removed

  • huh nothing makes me more angry than hybrid sousaphones.... its like they said to themselves "man I really like the way this brass bell looks but I am not devoted enough to where the brass body"

  • @thewhiteone102 they are brass bodies, but just have white covers

  • awe yeah!

  • They are puffing their cheecks out D: it makes me mad.

  • Sonic Boom for the win!

  • TROMBONEZ....IS THEBEST NINSTRUMENT!!!!!! EVEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!

  • instrument of pride!

  • Damn they good but if they want a challenge come see proviso east high schools band

  • @Sousaphonewarriorcat

Dang man, youre everywhere. And thats what she said.

  • @Insanonaga lol im a chick.

  • xD dude who plays bari Sax Is epic, besides the sousaphone i love the bari but i dont get to learn it

  • This is pretty cool inspired me to learn this on my sousa.

  • @Bucky0s

    Wtf is a contra?

  • Tubas are win. Im a sousa section leader at my highschool

  • lol funny

  • WIMPS! they use pads. I play sousa, i dont need pads

  • watch?v=ga9hz1tyGJg

This song combined with Axel F, Low Rider, and Ghost Ride

  • Holy double tonguing batman!

  • @kman2474 thats not double tonging its just fast and 8th and 16ths combined

  • Low brass is where its at

  • @MarchingElite94 at my school i play bari sax and im considered a lowbrass by my director

  • @CHhSHornetPrideBand How does your band director make that connection...calling a woodwind a brass instrument..

  • @CHhSHornetPrideBand I have no idea. but i am so fed up with our tubas cause they think they are all leaders and only one of them is. and the other acts like he thinks he is band director because we assigned him uniform manager... which means everyone hates him

  • @CHhSHornetPrideBand sir, tubas are never wrong. no matter whether we play a contra, sousaphone or a tuba, we are a tuba and are always right. the end

  • @whatistheretotype whatever, all i am saying is my schools tubas are never right, even when they think they are

  • @CHhSHornetPrideBand sir, tubas are never wrong. no matter whether we play a contra, sousaphone or a tuba, we are a tuba and are always right. the end

  • @MarchingElite94 yes ive been in lowbrass the last three years

  • noo these tubas need more sound

  • they play like they're scared....

  • if they went up against my sousaphone section, they would get embarrased. Snake Pit is for trombones, because i play trombone as well

  • and i marched with my besson last year and now dont say o you get so much better quality of a contra or a tuba than you do on a sousaphone and that is because a sousaphone is for marching while a contra or tuba should be used for concert

  • man im so tired of people talking shit about tuba or sousaphone or contra ive never played a contra but i march with a sousa and play concert with a besson tuba from england and ive seen contras and they seem very dificult to march with so i have respect for those people besides were all tuba players at heart

  • I have to agree I march a Contra in high school and will be doing the same in the Canton Bluecoats Drum Core (BLOOOOOOOOO) but haveing played both Sousa and Contra I have to say that Contra is more interesting Sousa has great qualitys but the contra has a darker sound (it's well worth the pain)

  • @golfisborring It's because a contra is so much better, it's made better and not with a sluggish sound as most sousa players get, it's a better tone and you can go a lot lower and a lot higher much cleaner. That's why everyone comments on sousaphone videos about Contra's, they pwn and they're in DCI

  • is that the tank fanfare???

  • @TubaMaster3000 No.Its Sonic Boom/Snake Pit.

  • @golfisborring actually contra and sousa are VERY different not only in how they look but the quality and tone of the notes played on each, i should know i play contra and when my contra section plays we get a completely different sound then these sousas

  • I don't get the debating. x_X I march a contra, but I honestly love the Sousa's so much more and actually envy everyone who plays them, since I can't. xD BOTH OF THEM ARE AWESOME OKAY CASE CLOSED.

  • ummmm the trombones could do that to lol GO BAND GEEKS

  • Tubas and sousaphones same thing just ones for marching

  • three times the tubas at my school' I'm all alone but i always get the solo

    TUBA POWER!!!

  • they goin hard

  • The chick yelling yeah tubas.... Should be slapped... GO Sousas!! xD

  • @Danidevange one time a chick called mine a trumpet lol

  • @evilryutaropro BAHAHA!!!! Are you serious? You should have said no!!! Its a flugelhorn... xD

  • @Danidevange no my section leader told her nice ass before she came in and than he is like never mind your ass smells like shit

  • @Danidevange ... every band i've ever met calls it a tuba including my band either way tuba or sousa what you call it doesn't matter since both terms are correct

  • How's this a battle?...

  • GO TUBAS!!!! GO TUBAS!!!!

  • What is this tune called?

  • @ThoseSWiFTGuys the tune is called "sonic boom" or "snake pit".

  • To be a knit picker... those are sousaphones.... and to go along with what all the other douche bags said... our tuba (contra) section would have put you fuckers to shame. No swag, and no real control. Contras... a REAL marching band tuba. Weak mofos :P <3

  • Nice!

  • TANK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Love sonic boom!!!!Mah tubas and i played it this year! Way to represent !

  • I´d grab a tenor sax and play along.

  • @GoldenPickaxe tenorsaxes RULE!!

  • @GoldenPickaxe And after you do that everyone will look at you and just nod with shame

  • The beginning was terrible and u guys were playing low a/f

  • Amazing

  • what tune is this tune?

  • what song is being played?

  • @dcmoney23 sonic boom

  • Comment removed

  • these sousaphones are awesome !!!! >3<

  • great

  • It was good...except you need to play like 5x louder.

  • I need the music for this so bad

  • whoa whoa whoa... the band is ruining the vibe of the tuba fanfare

  • Go tubas go tubas uuuuuu

  • thats a freaking good beat i liked that and those are sousaphones.

  • just like to point out no1 cares how loud you are if you sound like a dying animal and thats on any intrument, also if the piece calls for it you have to play loud with a good tone but so you dnt have to strain yourself just make your softs softer so your louds seem louder, and yes tone matters in marching/ pep band we worked on tone everyday this season and our brass/drill technician medaled with the cavaliers so yea

  • lolz so many band trololololololololololololols

  • @71196jmg aha onlii a freshmen would say dat yewr suppose to have gewd tone and play loud at da same time.... Im not even gonna argue wit yew anymore cuz yew just a freshman that thinks he knoes wat he's doin but yew really don't so do me a favor and hmu in like 4 years and den yew can try to prove me wrong dumbfuck but for right just shut da phuck up

  • @david23cpt Only an elementary school student would have as bad of speeling as you, unless all the weed went to your head

  • @71196jmg dude yew wish dat yew could play like dem they play how tuba players are suppose to play playing a tuba doesn't mean dat yewr gonna play loud and blast yew have to keep perfect tone to do dat and yewr a freshman so im pretty sure yew can't do dat..... I've been playing tuba for 5 years and I can whoop yo ass anytime

  • @david23cpt if you think this is hard and youve been playin for 5 yrs then you must really be bad. its easy as shit. and whether you can whoop my ass anytime doesnt matter. and yeah, tone matters, a little but what matters more is if the other teams band can hear you. thats right motherfucker. save that tone shit for concert band you faggot douchebag

  • Nice keep up da gewd work (:

  • you guys suck. you think your doing something original or something, thats the most GENERIC fanfare. snake pit, sonic boom whatever you want to call it, you guys are way to quiet and think that thats a challenge. im a freshman and i could play louder than all of yall at the same time.

  • @71196jmg dude shut up that is a little chalenging and i bet your freshman axx couldnt even do it

  • @SuperWesman12 im a freshman and im still more of a man and more of a tuba player than you. this is some serious bull right here it ain't even challenging. i could play that shit all day. plus everyone plays this fanfare at least pick another fanfare thats not so overplayed and easy

  • @71196jmg you suck

  • 7 people play the baritone

  • @android16B I am a tuba player, but i play Baritone/Euphonium also, They are considered Tenor tubas. so you are making fun of other tuba players. Nice Job. Douche.

  • @Tuba408Bass it was just a joke, don be a ass -_-

  • Good vid good tone but need to play louder love the vid i gave it a like

  • Thumbs up if you play sousaphone!!!! :D

  • let my sousaphone line come through there we would shame you guys sound off squad all day!!!!

  • They need to play about 3x louder

  • its a SOUSA MOTHER FUCKING PHONE

  • urrgghh, i hate fiberglass sousas, they sound so inferior to brass, its not even funny.

  • Hey, just saying, someone they need to play a Bb, an F, and a high F at the end of the song as a half note. :)

  • what is this song i would like to learn this song

  • @ethan2092019 Its a fairly easy song that has I think 3 or 4 parts to it, so it requires a full section. Its called Sonic Boom (AKA Snake Pit). We play it at our football games.

  • why are you dicks clapping!!!!!!

  • @MattMurdockCZ fag susaphones are funch sweet you are gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay also if they're so gay why did you look this up in the first place

  • @ethan2092019 awwww what an inteligent comment..

  • @MattMurdockCZ it helps keep beat and it makes it easier as long as they are the same tempo

  • @18tishas I know, but it has no balls with clapping

  • @MattMurdockCZ so? if you realize its pretty much only the band clapping and no balls with clappin? i dont understand

  • @18tishas maybe you don't use this phrase in the USA, but it's something like "so great that I crapped my underpants"

  • unfortunately i am the only tuba player at my school so I do not have the chance to group sous like that

  • have you guys ever heard about us, me n ma bois are from Blanche Ely High school down here in south florida, we work a lot and try to be the best and we plan on keeping it that way lol we plan on marching 21 we got like 9 now

  • The contrabass tuba is where it at.

  • I wanna learn tuba.

  • i think they are good musicians, but i just hate the sound of sousaphones. are marching band would never use them. there sound is too splatty.

  • @SuperColbinator thats the best part

  • @SuperColbinator Sousy's can sound pretty good, they just didnt sound very disciplined in playing it.

  • @SuperColbinator what do you use, contras?

  • @williebeaty yes we doo!! :)

  • @SuperColbinator very nice, our college is considering buying them

  • @williebeaty shweet!!! they sound very strong and pretty beast!!

  • @SuperColbinator they do! i went to dci competition few years ago and i could pretty much feel them lol

  • @williebeaty yeah! we have a band of 125 and we have 4 contras! they have so much power that they can hold their own ground against 20 trumpets and the rest of the band!

  • @SuperColbinator awesome! they should be fun to play then lol

  • @williebeaty i bet, but idk! lol im just a trumpet section leader. low stuff isn't my dealio! haha

  • they need to play wayyyy louder..i bet that sound never even made it across the feild..weeeaakk.

  • ITS CALLED THE TUBA FOR A RESON, YOU GUYS NEED MORE THE CLAPS SHOULDNT BE LOUDER THAN THE SONG

  • @Norlhey AMEN, BROTHER!! put some airs in those lungs, bitches!!

  • what song is that ??

  • @0907kieran Sonic Boom

  • yall weak.. nice double tonguing tho

  • Who gives a sh*t about calling them Tuba's or Sousaphone's. It takes a freakin Tuba player to make a legit hardcore Sousaphone player, and we all know it! Tuba Crews ftw!
