  • He came outta that cage like a champ looking for his next victory xD

  • he makes the coolests sounds.... do do doo do dododo.

  • he's just soo soo tiny here. what a precious little life... thank you for rescuing him.

  • OMG SOO CUTE!!! i wish i could have a pet gunk (thats what i call skunks lol) shupper cute!

  • i wanna pet it

  • 8 people have been sprayed by a skunk.

  • Aww i love that little sound he makes while walking, and then he chirps like a bird when you pick him up! So cute!

  • When he came out of the cage I just melted :3 SO CUTE!

  • you should get another one and call it "flower"... You know, like off the Disney movie Bambi. That would be so cute:-)

  • oreo is so cute he or she reminds me of my pet skunk stella but she died a couple weeks ago :( i miss her so much

  • So cute and adorable. Wish I could have one, love the sound xoxo

  • sounds like a little person is laughing hahahahaha

  • can i have him?

  • Doesn't it spray you?

  • press 5 haha XD

  • still have oreO?

  • @akio2k0 Oreo will be 4 years old may 15th.

  • I have a few questions that you may be able to answer. I have 2 pet rabbits including one called Oreo. :) I'd love to have a pet skunk, too. Do you know if skunks & bunny rabbits can co-exist together happily? (I have heard of one instance, but don't know if it is the norm.) Also, my rabbits are litter-boxed trained and share the house with my wife and I just like a house cat would. Is it possible to litter-box train a skunk? If so, is Oreo trained? BTW, Oreo is really cute!
  • @mrconradhoppe for a baby that size the cage is fine for sleeping (which is what they do most of the time at this age). these animals like to 'nest'. if the area is to large they do not feel safe and secure.

  • this video is awesome because it includes cute skunks sounds !!! :D cute cute cute teehee !! :D

  • i wan to know if this thing stinks or not?

  • @tarabonkers When they're babies they can take the part of the skunk that sprays out of it's butt, so it won't spray or harm it's handlers

  • @tarabonkers they do not smell. they are very clean animals.

  • @SilverHarley32 Oreo's mama prefers a 30/30. more bang for the buck.

  • About to open the cage

Me- omfg its a cat sized skunk!

    Opens it

    Me-wtf thats small and adorable!

  • How do you get a skunk?

  • @kerflop Oreo wieghed 28 grams when i got him. he was being pushed around a asphalt parking lot in 95 degree weather by an employee with a broom. his eyes were not opened and no mother in sight. the options were to do nothing or take him home to try to save his life. we chose life. he is 3 years old now.

  • @kerflop Umm.. You do know that people breed skunks now right? People generally just don't go grab them from the wild when they have pet skunks. Either they're from breeders or an accidental birth from a pet or a rescue attempt.

  • @kerflop She saved this skunks life and is caring for him/her and you called her a horrible person. FUCK YOU youre a horrible person

  • 6 People Are jealous They Can't Have Skunks As Pets :)

  • he;s a cute lil thing :)

mean when they turn wild (usually around adolescence... or is that adolescents)?

  • OMG cutest....baby.....EVER!

  • where can i get one the small

  • oreo is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo o cute

  • Those sounds that its making, make it even cuter.

  • Awe, how cute. Its so small. About 6 ot 7 inches (with stickin' up). wow.

  • I wish I could get a skunk, they are soo cute!

I don't think they smell when they are babies, but when they are older you can get the Stink Gland (I don't know what it's called) removed.

  • Actually, even as adults skunks don't have much odor to them at all. They're pretty good at keeping themselves neat and well groomed, and don't smell nearly as strong as most people assume they do.

  • Hehe the little sounds are cute! I think it would be fun to have a pet skunk. I have cats and supposedly they get along.

  • I want one too!!! Skunks are AWSOME!!!!!!

  • He thinks everything is wonderful and new :)

  • omg. Cutest thing EVER.

  • I want one!

  • sooooo gorgeous

  • do they smell when they are babies?

  • ohmygod its SO SMALL!

  • it sounds like its laughing

  • DanVespa your kinda umm...idk dumb?

  • its gotto be in the wild or not its not going to learn how to defend it self oh you can teach it to pick up a stick and defend it self

  • it wont need to learn to defend itself with a huamn there for it, thats the whole point of domesticating animals.

  • so cute when I move out im geting one haha

  • Nice way of teaching a back flip your a GREAT mom... woops!

  • @DanVespa it was fine and fyi its a front flip : )

  • awwhh i wana kisss it! :D

  • @DefeatingBoredom

    oreo seems upset with something.

  • @DefeatingBoredom hyper revs... and throttle control

  • @DefeatingBoredom He does?

  • Why was such a young skunk away from its mother?

  • @snowbop Most common problem is mother was killed and baby was orphaned

  • @snowbop Most common problem is mother was killed and baby was orphaned, usually by a car, one of the skunks few natural enemies.

  • lol looks like a plush toy that moves :P

  • that is so cute! i have a hamster named oreo!

  • O M F G, he is so cute. He only stops meeping when you have him in your hand, how cute. He reminds me of my baby ferrets. Dammit now I want one too. I wonder if my ferrets can play with a baby skunk and be ok.

  • @bremstone ferrets and skunks get along quite well together.

  • @winkycoon man where were you 11 months ago LOL Thanks man

  • @bremstone they are related. .... both weasels... they do indeed get along very well. my friend brings hers over for playtime with my skunk

  • WHAAAATTT!!!?!?!?! SKUNK????

  • Bless! "meep meep meep meep..." *pauses, looks at owner's leg, thinks hard* "...meep?"

  • OMG! What a cutey! Now all you people who keep asking if they are legal in your state....you're on the internet! Look it up yourselves! Sheesh! Do you think the poster has all the answers? If you're too lazy to type something into google you're probably way too lazy to take care of an animal...

  • aw! it's soo cute! I love her name!

  • So cute!!

Not as easy to care for as a cat-- they have definite dietary requirements and other things to look out for. Check Skunk Haven website for more info.

  • are skunks legal in NC?

  • Unfortunately, no. I used to have one years ago. I do not know when the legislature decided to make them illegal, but they are.

  • Aww, that's not fair, I want one!

  • How do you deal with them spraying their stink everywhere?

  • well they remove the stink sac

  • Even if not de-scented they don't spray it everywhere; it's used to defend themselves, not as territory marking.

  • their scent glands are removed

  • OH MY GOD I WANT ONE SOOOO BAD!!! where did you get him. my mom had one as a child, she found him as a baby and brought him up to the house. " daddy daddy look at the kitty. Can i keep him?"cause her dad is a vet he took the stink glands away boom. 3 months later she figured out she had a pet skunk lol. where did you get yours?

  • it's sooo cute

OMG i want to touch it's tail o.o

    it's so fluffly XD

  • You seem like you love your pet skunk but you need to be a lot more careful with Oreo. Like you said, Oreo is 4 weeks old, an infant. Please be careful not to hold Oreo too high off the ground if you don't have a good hold of him. The fall he took in the video, I imagine, is like a human falling out of a 2nd story window. Cute skunk!

  • I've heard they make really good pets once you remove the scent sac. Probably no harder to take care of than a cat.

  • Think again. They will use a litter box, but they will choose where that is. It may end up being the corner of your kitchen. They will also remove bedsheets, curtains, clothes from closets, and toilet paper and build a nest with it.

Lots of people have them as pets but they are nowhere near as "easy" as cats.

  • Oh, wow. I'd just heard that they were about the same as owning a cat...I guess they were wrong lol

  • aww, it's hard to believe it's a skunk when it's soo cute!

  • wait where can u get a baby skunk? i want one :D

  • it isnt an item you know. they ar probably very hard to take care of. i hate people like you who think you can just go out and buy an animal well you cant

  • Um not really... they are like affectionate cats from what i have been told and encountered. Just so you know, and hate is a really strong word to be throwing around when you are judging incoherently.

  • Oreo is so freaking cute it is rediculous, I would love to pet & hold him.

  • yeah, so would I.

  • It all depends on how strong your bond is with the animal and if it's handled at a young age so you get a tame loveable pet.

Normally a mother skunk is very protective and aggressive towards others but I was right there with my skunk when she gave birth on my bed; I am able to pet her while she's nursing the kit and am able to handle the small ones ; which isn't allowed by skunks in their wild behavior: they can make truly loving pets

  • How adorable!

I have skunks myself and almost three weeks ago my female skunk gave birth to 7 babies; 4albinos and 3 black and white ones.

I live in Europe and so it's illegal to descent them here but it's also NOT needed; since skunks don't spray willingly; My skunks haven't sprayed since the day I got them!

  • These animals bond extremely well to the person who is taking care of them ; but this needs to be done to a young skunk at around6-8 weeks old: they cry for attention and can't go without you; they keep following you and they prefer sleeping in the same bed as you; as long as you have a great bond with your skunk; they'll NEVER spray!!!

I have had descented skunks which give more odor than the entire ones.(they may leak) and the descented skunk is also prone to prolapse even more.

  • Do these spray? Or is there a way to get them fixed so they don't. And are they expensive/hard to take care of/destructive? They look like ferrets/cats. I don't know if I would ever have a skunk as a pet, but I would love to have a ferret.

  • he's crying, wanting comfort, and you push him away.

  • such a cute baby! i love the fur colors!

  • dang cutest thing i have ever seen..

  • where can i get 1

  • Why is he making those noises? Is he hungry or something? He chirps sometimes too...so cute!!

  • u can have those glands taken out

  • looks jike a small blak and white faret. Cool

  • Oh My Gosh that's the cutest little itsy bitsy skunkette I've ever seen. He's teeny tiny!

  • Can you teach it to not spray its odor and be a inside pet?

  • You can't. You have* to get it's odor gland removed.

  • i have 2 that have not been de-scented. no problem with spraying. they only do it as a defense when threatened.

  • in most places you're not allowed to have one that isn't de-scented

  • he is so swweeeetttt and sqeekie

  • AW! How cute?

  • lol Baby skunks are adorable. x3

  • How about North Carolina? can you have one here?

  • mmmm well i leave in LA california

    thank u I will check

do u think is legal here?

  • sorry, California is an illegal state.

  • by any chance do u know where can i get one? im trying to get one so bad, but everyone tells me to go to vegas to get one

  • depending on where you live a skunk may not be legal to own. i suggest you visit "skunksaspets" and check your state. skunks are illegal in nevada.
