@XCMajor It's called agar-agar in Malaysia and Indonesia with a dash (plural form). The singular agar is never used and means something else anyway.

I think gelatin is softer than agar agar

No, those are Maybe made of gelatin and corn syrup colors and falvors..but that cake is made from agar agar (from seeweed)
