i have concluded that it's true, superman was meant for lois: it happened in the original, etc. what clana fans are trying to say, however, is that this show made us fall in love with clana and it was, in part, because of the actors. kristin and tom had large amounts of chemistry together and it's really disappointing to see them part. when i watched the original, i loved clois but in sv, i love clana. simple as that. the show's been dragged out too long and characters like lex and pete gone.
i actually liked clana in the past but their relationship was juvenile full of lies or secrets from clark for obvious reasons then lana because she had been corrupted but clois is the future and present she is mature and good for a more mature clark because she is strong and holds her own she is kick ass lana may have tried but lois succeeded and they are not on and off like clana i was like jeez make up mind but clois is honest true and "fucking perfect"(in the words of my girl pink)
I disagree with Ectremzor, I thought that Clark and Lois always had great chemistry and they were meant to be together, Superman and Lois Lane always have. There were alot of moments where Lana personally annoyed me, but she got better as seen here, but I never liked that she was with Lex, but at the same time wasn't good for Clark. And in the earlier seasons where I thought she was annoying, she is right here, she was a big distraction, I could go into it but the character count won't let me =/
think the creators remove lana because clark and her looks so compatible for each other, eventhought it has to end as "lois and clark". At some point, they had to break them apart to make room for the original match. i stop watching after she left. i didn't really care so much after this season.

2. the very reason you mentioned above,Clark and Lana are SO COMPATIBLE that they have a HUGE fandom going on for them, the TPTB saw that as a threat to the clois pairing...

No I don't see true love what I see is a typical teen love, yes it's exciting and passionate but it's never going to last the distance, it's selfish and self indulgent and gets old pretty quick, Lana was for the boy, Lois is for the man and FYI Superman along with Batman are two of the highest grossing franchises ever, that have spawned more movies, TV shows and comics than any other, Superman was the first Superhero and it was due to the success of his comic that other Superheros came along.
and you clearly aren't familiar with the comics because Lana is hardly even in them, she's simply a childhood crush who actually goes on to marry Pete Ross, from the very first comic Action Comics no.1 Lois Lane was written as Clark's soulmate, the only reason Clana was dragged out so long on the show was due to copyright with WB over Lois and Clark's relationship, and finally without the comics and their success there would obviously be no Smallville.
It was dragged out because it had high ratings, notice how when they suddenly broke up halfway through season 5 the ratings dropped by a third and those people never returned. Back then episodes were regularly getting 6.5m viewers, now they struggle to break 2m with this version of Lois and Clark.
@yesyesohyay10 no season 6 was the first CW season, the ratings had been averaging around 4.6m since season 3 onwards and then dropped to 3.8m once WB turned to CW, then dropped again when they stupidly moved the show to friday.

Clark's seen the future with Lois in homecoming. One of the few half decent season 10 episodes. So he has no reason to fear anything. He looks bored around Lois, like he's waiting for a bus. There is no real justification for Clark and Lois happening, no foundation or natural progression.

But remeber there's a comics called Superman and according to this Clark Kent and Superman partner in his life is Lois Lane and not Lana Lang. Clois fans. Believe it or not, Smallville survived all because of Lex and Clana. Clark took Lois as a second choice and make love to each other. But this just killed the show. The show creators left at Season 8. And the show has gone downhill since, no wonder Season 10 is the last season. Without the show creators around, Clana and Lex gone. The show just got killed badly.
@ExTreMzoR it has survived because of clana, but beleive it or not. lez ( the actuall actr, cant think of his name ) left of his own accord and so did lana. so really they knew the show was coming to an end... there wasnt much longer and they knew it. Sadly smallville will be no longer in a couple of weeks would of been the perfect ending with lana as well.smallville for life.
@ExTreMzoR Lois was the best character. All Lana ever did was push Clark away and always cheated on him like she did with bizarro and Lex. She clearly knew bizarro was not Clark and even hesitated to kill him! Lois had never done that to Clark. Lois was always there to suopport Clark and also brought out the Man of Steel within him.
Lana has never cheated on Clark you idiot. Clark dumped her in a terrible way for no good reason and Lex was there. That's not cheating, that's trying to move on and being vulnerable. She killed Bizarro as soon as she found out by calming him down and setting a trap with blue K. Honestly you Lana haters really are reaching. I could say Clark cheated on Lana with Jesse, Chloe and Simone. Glad Smallville is over, it's sucked for half a decade now.

i have concluded that it's true, superman was meant for lois: it happened in the original, etc. what clana fans are trying to say, however, is that this show made us fall in love with clana and it was, in part, because of the actors. kristin and tom had large amounts of chemistry together and it's really disappointing to see them part. when i watched the original, i loved clois but in sv, i love clana. simple as that. the show's been dragged out too long and characters like lex and pete gone.

I disagree with Ectremzor, I thought that Clark and Lois always had great chemistry and they were meant to be together, Superman and Lois Lane always have. There were alot of moments where Lana personally annoyed me, but she got better as seen here, but I never liked that she was with Lex, but at the same time wasn't good for Clark. And in the earlier seasons where I thought she was annoying, she is right here, she was a big distraction, I could go into it but the character count won't let me =/

think the creators remove lana because clark and her looks so compatible for each other, eventhought it has to end as "lois and clark". At some point, they had to break them apart to make room for the original match. i stop watching after she left. i didn't really care so much after this season.

@boy29girl just to make points straight for the facts out there,,, the show was NEVER planned to finish on Clark and lois note,,, the ORIGINAL writers and creators didnt want lois whatsoever,,,, however the TPTB asked them to get lois in for two reasons:
1. the show was a hit and they wanted to use it to squeeze in lois
2. the very reason you mentioned above,Clark and Lana are SO COMPATIBLE that they have a HUGE fandom going on for them, the TPTB saw that as a threat to the clois pairing...

Lana will always be Clark one true love. His first choice. And the one that got away. Smallville made Clark and Lana original, organic, and best of all an alternative to the same old same old tradition. Well until they lost the heart of the show and decided to fall in line with the mythos. How pathetic. Too bad because they had something so pure.

I have to LMAO at all the Clois haters because they are just mad that Lana never was & never will be the love of supermans life EVER! His character has always cared for her deeply yes, I will admit, puppy love if you want to call it. On the other hand, Clark is a man now & Lois is the One, always has been, just as he said in episode 10. And yeah, Clark IS happy with Lois, but even if he was miserable with Lana, his love for her was stronger. He loved jar for 8 seasons!
And Clana scenes are so beautiful, and make you wanna watch the firsts seasons all over again. And when they break up, you cry and is so sad
Maybe he IS happier with Lois, but it doesn't feel like they were MEANT for each other like Clana did.

@maaah1997 8 Seasons right, Clark Kent has been in love with Lois Lane for 73 YEARS, they were literally written for each other, their love story is the stuff of legends, in the story on which this show is based it was always about Lois and Clark, I do wish people would pick up a comic book if they want to watch Smallville, Clana shippers are the equivalent of someone watching a TV adaptation of Romeo and Juliet and saying "oh I don't think Romeo belongs with Juliet." it's insane.

No I don't see true love what I see is a typical teen love, yes it's exciting and passionate but it's never going to last the distance, it's selfish and self indulgent and gets old pretty quick, Lana was for the boy, Lois is for the man and FYI Superman along with Batman are two of the highest grossing franchises ever, that have spawned more movies, TV shows and comics than any other, Superman was the first Superhero and it was due to the success of his comic that other Superheros came along.

and you clearly aren't familiar with the comics because Lana is hardly even in them, she's simply a childhood crush who actually goes on to marry Pete Ross, from the very first comic Action Comics no.1 Lois Lane was written as Clark's soulmate, the only reason Clana was dragged out so long on the show was due to copyright with WB over Lois and Clark's relationship, and finally without the comics and their success there would obviously be no Smallville.

It was dragged out because it had high ratings, notice how when they suddenly broke up halfway through season 5 the ratings dropped by a third and those people never returned. Back then episodes were regularly getting 6.5m viewers, now they struggle to break 2m with this version of Lois and Clark.

@yesyesohyay10 no season 6 was the first CW season, the ratings had been averaging around 4.6m since season 3 onwards and then dropped to 3.8m once WB turned to CW, then dropped again when they stupidly moved the show to friday.

Clark's seen the future with Lois in homecoming. One of the few half decent season 10 episodes. So he has no reason to fear anything. He looks bored around Lois, like he's waiting for a bus. There is no real justification for Clark and Lois happening, no foundation or natural progression.

Man, can't we all just enjoy this video rather than get into clana vs. clois debates? Personally, I am a clana fan just because I don't feel that Erica and Tom have the same kind of chemistry that Tom had with Kristin. I actually think Lois and Clark would be better friends than lovers, but to each their own. ;)

I may be a Clois fan but I do like watching these Clana scenes. These last two scenes in particular were beautifully shot and very well acted by both Tom and Kristin.

Hey guys, I think we have nothing argue about. You know, Clana was great but their love was almost always painful because something always had happened. But remeber there's a comics called Superman and according to this Clark Kent and Superman partner in his life is Lois Lane and not Lana Lang. So we always could know that at the end Lois'll win the battle for Clark's heart some kind of way.
Personally I love Clois.

@Suuuuumaaa I'm just disappointed that I wasted so much of my life with this show. It's been poorly written garbage on the level of One Tree Hill since Spell in season 4. The occasional flashes of Superman have drawn me back for the last season, but that doesn't mean I forgive the dreck I sat through.

Clois fans. Believe it or not, Smallville survived all because of Lex and Clana. Clark took Lois as a second choice and make love to each other. But this just killed the show. The show creators left at Season 8. And the show has gone downhill since, no wonder Season 10 is the last season. Without the show creators around, Clana and Lex gone. The show just got killed badly.

@ExTreMzoR it has survived because of clana, but beleive it or not. lez ( the actuall actr, cant think of his name ) left of his own accord and so did lana. so really they knew the show was coming to an end... there wasnt much longer and they knew it. Sadly smallville will be no longer in a couple of weeks would of been the perfect ending with lana as well.smallville for life.

She clearly knew bizarro was not Clark and even hesitated to kill him! Lois had never done that to Clark. Lois was always there to suopport Clark and also brought out the Man of Steel within him.
