@whosbluegrass All the Infiniti models except for the M series and QX56 are based on the Nissan 370Z platform. The QX56 is based on the Nissan Armada and the M series is on it's own separate chassis. Infinitis used to be dressed up Nissans but now they work the chassis enough that they're really different cars. The G35 is based on the 350Z.

most twin turbo 'd 350Z's and G35's are about 1.5 sec faster in the 1/4 and 9-13 mph faster in trap spds... I've seen several TT 350Z's putting 440hp to the crank vs 300hp stock ... And, these 440hp Z's were running 12.7-12.9 sec at 110-112 mph... Thats about right on for the level of power increase..... 350's and G35's are luxary coupe cars not built for spd... They're not all that quick to me...

@TheEdrooney It's called "Different Trim Levels", bud. There's only 1 trim level of an Eclipse with a standard 4cyl NA engine. Try a turbo GS-T or maybe the new GT that's stock NA with about 240 whp. Btw, I'm not a ricer, but I AM an engineering student who knows much more than you do about how cars work. You can run a mustang/corvette/camaro/etc. in a straight line. Don't plan on turning and don't be surprised if a smaller, more power efficient car passes you.

I guess performance boils down to numbers (hp, weight, torque, etc) and it doesn't really matter which company is able to produce those numbers.
