Wolff's got it right, and should be required reading in all american schools. Capitalism has to end, but I'm afraid it will destroy us before we destroy it. Ignorance kills...
No other economist that I have listened to or read understands and explains how we got into this mess and accurately, clearly or concisely as Richard Wolff. Now, to understand why the crisis is worldwide, look up the word "colonialism" and you now have a very good understanding of what is really happening.
Another author that I really enjoy, who explains how US foreign policy works, who is behind it and the motivation behind it is John Perkins. Read Confessions Of An Economic Hitman.
I recently came across a couple of Wolf's lectures, he completely made me understand the situation we are in today. We now know the truth and are ready to take action to make a change. We need someone to transform our ideas and vote power into something that could change the way things are for the benefit of the middle class in America.
Capitalism is the wage slavery of humanity in a politically corrupt, manipulated MARKET SYSTEM OF ARTIFICIAL SCARCITY ,a tyrannical, destructive system to perpetuate poverty and exploitation in the interest of the ruling class. Capitalism from its genocide of the native Americans, mercantile plundering and enslavement of African natives to its Millitaristic rise of European Powers to World wars and Financial serfdom of the world has been a DISASTEROUS imposition of minority rule.
Excellent lecture. Class is unfortunately a part of nature. Most animals engage in power struggles. Hence the term "pecking order". We humans as the ultimate product of evolution should know better but we don't. The class system is the best example of the fact that humans are little better than the supposed lower life forms on this planet.
This has helped me understand the crisis even better. The middle-class is in the transition of become poor...just like feudalism.
The reason why we keep going down this route is because of international bankers (mostly zion-ist families), natural resources cartels (Rockefeller), and others who participate in secret societies. They plan collapse of economies, make $, finance both sides of a war, then make even more $. Governments fail, they take control.
Just skip to 6:30...

Devastating analysis. Make sure you watch this right through to the end. Marx makes even more sense today than 100 years ago.

Fucking brilliant lecture. Wolff is a great representative of Marxist Theory and Left Wing economics in general. We need more people like him.
