I saw this film something like 20 years ago when Channel 4 hosted some HK films over the Christmas period with an intro from Jonathan Ross. This one was my fave, so beautiful & sad, just beating Spiritual Love that was also shown. I bought it recently on DVD from Media Asia, and watched it again a few days ago - still bought a lump to my throat at the end.

The lady was really beautiful when first saw it at age 10, so so many years ago. The scene of her taken away by the storm left an eternal image in me. But well done to Alan for becoming an evergreen icon. The lady must have disappeared into the wilderness years ago.

The girl is Joyce Ngai. Anywhere I can download this DVD? PLease, i have been looking for 10 years. The song is called "Illusion" and is sung at the end of the movie just after the picture freezes on this video. The theme is played on Glockenspiel when the spririt first appears in his room.
