Jazz, funk, rap, champeta, merengue, cumbia and all of the styles that origninated from african drums... sound the same??? Are you an fing moron or just deaf?
just wanted to make the comment that colombia my friends, is spelled with an O and not with an U. if you are going to comment on the country at least get the name right.
Mayetaye. This isn't LIKE congolaise music, This IS congolaise music. The african populations in Columbia are joining us in playing our music. I remember this song it was one of the original songs from Pepe Kalle. I have the video!
Lotanna: You would do us a wonderful service if you can publish the original Pepe Kalle video for this song. Soukous music is still very popular in the caribbean area of Colombia, and this is not the only rip-off of those great songs from the 80's...
Yea I know what you mean! Unfortunately Id have to contact my folks to get it back and they are out of the country now! But I'll see what I can do. The original was better than this song. Noone can duplicate Pepe Kalle's voice! I think a name change of our music and then not crediting the great artists like Pepe who has died now is sad. I hope its in the credits of whatever album this is on. Seems like they are just remaking our songs and not saying where or who it comes from.
I hope you can upload the video some day. I coulnd't agree more on this with you: this song is not really a good cover, and in general I don't think anybody can match the sound of those great soukous bands.
que fea musica esta para llorar.

I lived in Barranquilla and now I live near Congo and it's true that most of the "black" music is nearly the same. Funny, isn't it?
