I saw these guys play with RX bandits and Gavin Castleton about 2 years ago. The roster on the venues website said Kay Kay would be playing and when just 4 people came out; Kirk with a megaphone, Thomas with a mean mustache, Kyle pounding the keys and drummer.... playing the drums. Only about 3 people gave these guys any attention, including me. In conclusion, They fucking rocked it.
@legitstuff the lead singer kirk huffman, the guitarist thomas hunter, and the keyboards by kyle o quinn are all in kay kay and his weathered underground. this video was interesting, but the full version is more intense, which i like better. i love wild orchid children. =]]
The last minute of the song was good, but if this is how they sound, I can't bring myself to drive all the way down to Aneheim to watch Orbs if these guys are going to be playing too. I will just hold out for a show in San Fran; even if Wild Orchid Children is playing with Orbs, at least I can justify the drive.
Their best song hands down. Got me into them, however, not much else in their catalog (that I've heard) tickles my ears quite like this. Any particular song I should check out?
@punk1nbuddy just because you have no appreciation for music that you don't understand doesn't mean you should be a little bitch about it and start calling them terrible. This band is unique, inspiring, and original. Maybe if that's not your thing, than fine, that's not your thing. But these guys are incredible.
@madmonkeyness Oh Monkey, but I'm YOUR little bitch. Don't confuse having terrible taste in music with rap-rock being original. I've seen these guys live and they sounded worse than in this video. You like the band? Great. You'll love Faith No More and Linkin Park, too. They're also totally original. Taking down my original comment out of courtesy to the band. BTW, the word is "then" not "than," dumbass.
@punk1nbuddy Have you even heard any of their other songs? Download their album dude, this is only one song. It's stupid to base your assumption on one song. And who cares if they sucked live, most new bands do. Kid, Linkin Park is for little boys. I stopped liking them when I was 17. You should make sure you know your shit before you start it.
they will be big soon, because the state of the music scene right now, with all the rap, teeny bopper, and angst y cookie cutter bands spoon fed to the masses nowadays, our generation NEEDS MORE of this kind of artists.
@augustmarch7@EWilsonLife This didn't happen to be at The Knitting Factory in Spokane did it? Because they opened for Coheed there, and oh dear lord was it terrible. lol
@augustmarch7 Yes!! I went to this video to show a friend of mine just how awful their sound was. I also wanted to see how they sounded in studio in comparison to how awful they sounded live. Nope, still the same crap that doesn't work together at all.
what's this got to do with portugal. the man? yes they're homies but no one from portugal is in this band... Check out Kay Kay and His Weathered Underground if you want to hear this singer in a different style
