Great drink idea....another good way to do this is to make it in a shaker, strain in to a cocktail glass, and then add the tonic. Looks cool in a frosted glass.

I can see why it would make a great holiday cocktail. The garnet red of the pomegranate would look very inviting w/shaved ice and a few pom seeds atop the glass! Cheers! (Remember to drink in moderation everyone!)
