  • i want the full movie somebody help me

  • This movie reminds me more of Universal's "Kharis" series in the 40s as opposed to their 1932 film. I know the '32 version is generally considered superior, but I just always found those from the 40s and this one more fun.

  • Along with the 1930s 'The Mummy', this is my favourite Mummy film. I am always uncertain whether I prefer this to the original slightly. For sure, it has stronger direction (no offense to Freund) and pacing.

  • I have a T shirt of this, which I got on holiday in Portugal!

  • Lol I have a movie poster of this in my room. At least it think it's this film. The uncanny... In his most startling role! It might be another but looks just like this one. Haha i wanna see it now XD

  • @killertellitubby I'm betting your poster is for the 1932 Universal film. Boris Karloff was billed as "KARLOFF the uncanny!"

  • I love the old school horror stuff :) Like the trailer on my site?

  • The guys they get to play the mummy are always to chubby !! They need a skinny guy like me to play the mummy ! I mean let's face it ,after you been dead thousands of years you are gonna be a bit on the skinny side right ?? But these guys all look like they been eating to much Pizza recently ! ha ha ha ha !!

  • @nicktesla45 I chose to cast a non-skinny guy for the mummy in our live show because he could carry around victims weighing between 105 and 175 pounds! Sorry, but if you can't pick up the leading lady...

  • 50's movie actor make-up + modern movie action sequencing + 80's movie special effects = the perfect movie.

  • hammer studios make the best horror movies ever made

  • LoL

  • The dramatic speaker and music make me want to see this movie.

  • @Cl0taire You definitely should, it is one of Hammer films best works.

  • I wonder what a mummy would taste like.

  • @Lockbar Victoria Sponge and Walnut Whip

  • Horror novel see video book trailer

  • Mummy movies don't get nearly enough credit as they should.

  • the mummie owns

  • I wonder if Peter Cushing was Van Helsing for this film.

  • @Demolitiondude Are you serious? Van Helsing is a character created by Bram Stoker, the writer of ''Dracula''. He has nothing to do in a mummy film. No, the character played by Cushing in this movie is named John Banning.

  • @antares949 They owned Dracula, Frankenstein, and the Mummy, it's not outside the possibility.

  • look at full version associated with this particular film right here on mimb o .net remove space

  • Does Chris Lee wear those silly band aid throught the whole film? part of the reason I like the Karloff version is because he walks around like an ordinary man.

  • @MsSarjen Agreed.

  • I love the Universal Mummy movies (the original series), but Hammer had a way of updating them that really worked. They showed the Mummy's strength and how difficult he was to kill. The newest crop of Mummy movies were entertaining as "adventure movies", but this was a monster movie!

  • It's pretty a shame that Cushing passed away. I might not feel how sad Lee feels, but I do know that he's doing a good job distracting himself from the sorrow.

  • Does Kharis (The Mummy) use another method of attack other than just strangling people?

  • :O mummy !!!! my favourite horror character :D

  • this was very well done by hammer productions-its as good as the 1932 version with more horror and graphics--christopher lee did a good job--thx for posting

  • My older cousin took me to see this movie when I was a small kid, and it scared the living doo doo out of me! I slept with the light on for 2 years! eeeeeeck

  • cristopher lee as the mummyFTW

  • THE MUMMY! *bassline drop*

  • Comment removed

  • This actually is pretty violent & realistic

  • loved this movie since i was a kid!

  • Best Mummy Movie!!! Peter Cushing is brilliant!!!

  • why guns don't work in horror movies?

  • @speedtypermananswer becouse they don't aim for the head >.<

  • Don't forget Vincent Price,Lon Chaney Sr. & Jr,Boris Karloff & Bella Lugosi true masters of there craft original Count Dracula Bella Lugosi who was buried in his Dracula out fit showing his true dedication to that character.

  • Hammer used themes from the 1932 Mummy, The Mummy's Hand, The Mummy's Tomb, and The Mummy's Ghost. Christopher Lee was superb. He was both frighting and pitiable at the same time. He is second only to Karloff in the role.

  • lol christopher lee rocks but i have to admit the cgi in the mummy 1999 made it scary

i know you old timers think *fuck those fancy pants talentless crap heads*

but it takes talent to make cgi, for the mummy would be very difficult, most likely harder than make up(like in this video)

trying to make a 5 second cgi is bloody hard.

appreciate the effort people put in.

now i know i will get tumbs down by those losers who always say! *teh original waz beaszt!!!

not trying to say it was not...

  • @minablock Look, i like older special effects, but i agree with you. You make a good point. So, we should actually appreciate both.

  • Even by Hammer standards this film was pitiful. The Karloff Mummy out-does this one by 100%. Don't even bother downloading this one, unless you're intending to complete your collection, because you will be truly disappointed.

  • Google "Save Bray Studios Campaign". The world famous Bray Studios, home of Hammer Horror, is now very much under threat from them being turned into residential flats. Voice your opinion.

    Great trailer, great film.

  • Lee and Cushing were the masters...

  • This is a real Horror FIlm

  • AHHH SCRABS!!!!

  • That's why they got Brendan Fraser to kill mummies.

  • oh, the good old movies. I started to watch Hammer's horror movies starring Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee 1 month ago and now I'm completely stuck with them. lol

  • @megaNickolas Ha! The same thing happened to me about 9 months ago! They're addictive.

  • @TenderTrap86 wow, i'm glad to hear there are still people enjoying classic movies not goofs that they make nowadays, by the way, it's nice to meet you :D

  • I like the way Imhotep killed people

  • can't go wrong with Hammer studios, nor can you go wrong with Christopher Lee or Peter Cushing

  • @madammelva And don't forget Terence Fisher : Hammer's best director!

  • Now there's a mummy who walks like he's been dying to take a dump for 3000 years.

But I still prefer the Karloff original. Zita Johann was a major schweng!!!

  • Hammer best horror film.

  • I just bought this movie for 5$ ask me if you want more info.

  • @ovech... Please, tell me if in this movie the mummy grabs a man by his nose with a "clothes hanger"?? I remember that when I was a little kid my parents and I went to a hotel and in the TV was a scene like this (I think the scene was in a library or so)... I want to find that movie, so I will be grateful for your help.

  • @wisinlover2002 I Think you may be thinking about the 'Tales From the Darkside' movie.

  • Lee proves how good of an actor he is by managing to act (incredibly) through quite a lot of wrappings!

  • awful acting job

  • 1999 mummy was better

  • I'm sorry but to me that's not very good acting. Those people could out run that mummy any day. My gramma could out run him!! I prefer the new versions.

  • the originator is better than a branches.

  • in my opinion ! this classic stuff ! is so much better than todays computor stuff. i love this classic flicks.todays movies leave me flat ! compare , the remakes to the originals. time machine vs. 2002 remake, planet apes vs. remake, dracula 1932 vs. all remakes,etc... no comparision. they relied on acting and talent.

  • Dude, acting and talent is ok... But what do you say about the great special effects of today's? Well, as long they don't exaggerate them, as in 2012...

  • @wisinlover2002 i still love the classics. i am big fan of 50's,60's 70's, sci fi, horror.. todays stuff just doesn't do it for me. special effects are ok ! just not realistic. watch the original time machine or a classic universal monster flick. you will see what i mean.

  • Long live Lee.

  • The best mummy film ever!

  • Great Hammer film. I actually prefer the Hammer versions of the Mummy and Dracula over the Universal versions.

  • Me too

  • just those two movies

  • very good hammer horror and my favorite

    mummy movie.

  • this actually looks pretty damn good!

  • I have this on DVD!!!

  • This is such a good film! absolutely love Hammer!!

  • I love this movie!Good work!

  • oooohh sooo scary!!! ahhhh! NOT! Wow, I bet my Grandma saw that movie, it came out about the time she was probably almost an adult haha

  • It's not about how scary it is it's about atmosphere... at that time the filmmakers knew how to make good movies, better than today, because today without a computer they can't do anything... don't make fun of a movie just because it's old and you haven't seen it, watch a few classic movies and you'll unsderstand.

  • Sometimes with a computer they still can't do anything :)

  • Exactly!

  • If you have no experience with good movies, please don´t let us know that. Look your slasher shit please...

  • Don't worry, man. I'll pick the DVD up at the delivery center on the 24th and upload the movie soon afterwards. I wonder if some good Samaritan here will also upload 'The Curse of Frankenstein'...

  • Now you must hold the breath, Joseph...

  • I've never see this movie, the version with Brendan Fraser is fantastic!

  • Are you serious? The Brendan Fraser remakes are shocking!

  • I like The Mummy with Brendan Fraser, however, I much prefer the one with Christopher Lee. I grew up on this, and I was scared to watch it, but I loved every moment. Lon Chaney Jr. and Boris Karloff were great in the role of The Mummy. Personally, I much prefer a person over a CGI.

  • Cristipher Lee and Peter Cushing make the best horror muvies.

  • This is the scariest representation of a mummy I've ever seen... It aint a collection of CGI pixels like Brendan Fraser's mummy... The is a living actor behind those eyes... And it is this presence of something real that scares the living crud outta me :)

  • Christopher Lee is so far the best mummy ever protayed.

  • Lee was an intense Mummy!

  • I wish trailers where still like this...incredibly dramatic music, an even more dramatic narrator, and a title that appears midway. I've always found them much more amusing!

  • I wish *movies* were still like this...there's something about them. Ah, well...I guess all that CGI exists for a reason.

  • There are few things I hate more than CGI haha. I'm only 21 but I'm so old fashioned...I'm all about 35 MM rather than Digital, stunt men rather than computer generated stunts, beautiful crafted sets instead of computer built backgrounds. *Sigh*. I guess those days are over...

  • peter cushing and christopher lee. 2 great star wars villians

    :)

  • even though this movie is so corney, it is the scariest mummy to me.

  • Gosh, I have to add this to my favorites.

  • Movie scared the shit out of me

  • easily the greatest mummy film of all time, Cuching was usually was a great lead that crediblity to the film and Lee was the most convincing mummy of all time and the costume was amzing partcilarly when you look at other laughable film monsters of the 50's and early 60's

  • One of Hammer Films most unusual and best movies.

Deffinately one of the best Mummy films ever made and beats the newer Mummy all to shameful hell.

  • Do you know where I can buy this version, I tried netflix. It gave me the wrong one! Can you please help me?

  • I f your still looking for it Borders has it if theres 1 in your town.

  • The intensity of Lee's eyes is absolutely amazing! Love the Karloff version but even Boris would be hard put to equal Lee's vital and powerful Mummy...

  • This trailer got much better once the narrator stopped talking.

  • Gotta love Hammer Horror. Total classic.

  • That is classic horror

  • The trailer music is just some caned music. The real score was one of the only 2 scores that Franz Reizenstein ever wrote and is still one of the most hauntingly beautiful fantasy-film score ever written.

  • Well, certainly better than the recent mummy movies. But then what isn't? But...better than the Karloff original? Hmm.

  • It is . I thought Korloffs was a little boring . This ones awesome !

  • Yeah, the Karloff classic was pretty good; I haven't seen it since I was a kid though.

  • eu adoro esse filme sempre assisto filmes da hammer e da amicus sempre achei duas produtoras maravilhosas obrigada!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I agree 100%, this movie is the greatest and probably always will be the best Mummy movie ever made. Lee is perfect in this role and Cushing is great as always as the "monster fighter". Those who like this movie should check out Lee's Dracula movies, there are 8 films that span from 1958 to I beleive 1975.

  • Can someone post the whole film? Saw this as a kid and thought it was great. LOVED the theme tune music

  • The best Mummy movie ever!!!

Much better than the 1999 version.
