Maybe it sounds strange, but this was the intention. Treffen = Meeting. In the early years, it was much more familiar. And music was an important part of the event. But today, it is simply too big. Most of the visitors show absolutely no interest in Goth/Wave/Industrial music and culture. For them the festival is like carnival or Halloween.
I can't identify myself with the "dark scene" of today. It reminds me of "Kinderfasching".
@agathoma But I would like to said it 'Open Day', people don't understand what is goth, then they come here to know it, if they have the feeling of 'I think I am a Goth.' then they will start to learn to be a goth. I think WGT is a day of people(Ungoth) to know themself. When I first touched Goth stuff, I feel like 'this is who am I turely are.'
@elektra647 Goth is different to different people. There is no rule to be goth, goths are just are. To some it is something more and to some not. But they are still goth.
