Mac Tip - Record, Edit and Export in iMovie 08/09

this is all well and good for making movies but how do i record my screen to make those kind of movies

would you be able to add 2 video's in to one because i recorded one video on my computer and one video on my camera so put my chip in my laptop and when to "import" the i will give you 3 options i tested the middle one and the last one it didn't work then i click the first one i clicked my file video then i let it load but it didn't work could you help me??? i am new to my mac and all

thanks for the information, but when i upload a video, it loads perfectly but then i go to my videos and it says "uploaded (processing, please wait)" and i wait and wait all do and it doesn't work...., i have the right format, its .MOV, can u please reply and see if u can help please? =)

hey, usually it does that with me, take a while for youtube to process it and then should be Live in a short while after that, just make sure your video is in the 10 minute time range and not got any copyrighted material in there and it should work :)

ok thanks for the fast reply and the information, but i just tried to upload a video again but then when its nearly half uploaded it says "unknown error' and my internet cuts out.... =/ really frustrating lol

How did you eport the screen capture to iMovie and to youtube? Mine is taken with the snow leopard Quicktime X Screen Capture Function but it needed for the export of this 2 min video 30 minutes!

I exported i with screenflow and then imported it to imovie exported with quick time and then just uploaded to you tube :)

Eventhough i use songs from my iTunes that I have bought MYSELF, I uploaded a video to youtube and it the music was taken away! Could you please help me out here :|

I think it is because even though you bought the song you don't own the copyright to be able to use it on YouTube ect. :)

I will try to explain this the best I can. Some music has an invisible tag and when you upload to YOU TUBE - there computers pick up that invisible tag and prevent it from loading audio. Verizon and other cell phones use the same tecnology for something called SONG ID. You activate the program, hold the cell to a radio or whatever, and it identifies the song. So, you have to play around with different tracks that do not have this TAG. It prevents copy right infringment.

Don't worry i still find it hard to do, in the video i ahve shown how to cut parts of the video and paste some in and how to insert a quick intro clip.

nice video mate. i've not gone through all the stages of exporting my videos using quicktime, i've done mine with the step above it and selecting medium quality.

Definitely will be delving deeper into exporting options ;)

Yeah exporting with Quicktime does take considerably longer but noting like hours just probably 25-30 minutes instead of 10-15. But it's always nice to have it looking a little bit like HD LOL.
