I remember days of Loleatta coming to NY and slamming us at "Better Days" for those who remember and wearing us OUT!!! What a sensation!!! A true performer that would wear us to the floor. And with Tee Scott on the mix it was a night to remember!!! I am sooooo glad that I was a witness to a real "Diva" at work!!! Always on point and never given the props she so deserve. Even at a late age this woman NEVER let us down for a good night on the dance floor.
You had one hell of a voice lady and we all KNEW it was a Loleatta Holloway track as soon as we heard her voice. RIP dear Loleatta and thank you for sharing your God given talents with the world and for the musical memories of my youth. To her family may you find comfort in your faith, family and friends. God bless you all. You will be missed! You added life to the music world.....
DAMN!!! this woman is still singing in the same key!!! Learn it kids!!! at her age and still serving it!!! this was my anthem when I was clubbing hard and still when I go out when this is played I loose my mind!!! NYC rocked this song to NO END!!! thanks for posting this brought back many memories of the Paradise Garage, Better Days, Sound Factory Bar, Underground, Crisco Disco, Boys Town, The Tunnel, Studio 54, The Zoo i can go on and on LOL!!!
@eflat2tnr I remember Bruce Forrest playing this song at Better days and also hearing it at Paradise Garage. Kinda suprising for a straight white guy to be hanging there but that was where the music was happening. I was dropping off a remix unreleased version of this song to the dj at Paradise Garage and I hung out with Bruce Forrest for a few hours one night. Was fun to see his use of simmon's pads and keyboard samples that long ago.

I'm Speechless Thanks so Much for sharing this vid it's so rare to get any footage of here. I wonder why she's not recording anymore. Her last song was "a better way"
WOW how her voice still tackles this in its original key after all these years is truly something - long live Loleatta! I MUST catch one of her live gigs someday!
Shame we could not really see Loleatta due to bad filming...but she is amazing and one of the best voices to ever grace this earth. God bless you Loleatta. Thank you for so many wonderful tracks.
Oh, i'm sorry that it was in a dark room and i was within a crowd from a distance trying to film. Didn't have my tripod and studio set up with me on that night out..... Youtube is always a bastion of amazingly good live films....Don't be so over critical, there was no need to say that really. It's ppl like you that can stop ppl from posting stuff as they don't want negative commentary from idiots.
@emkai100 You DON´T need to see that Woman, you only have to hear her voice!!!!!! 1ukdude1 I think the video is amazing, one of the few videos of that woman singing live. emkai100 WELL DONE!!!!!!! thank you for the video =)
