I like the name of this series, and I know what they mean by, "Kids on the Slope." Growing up, becoming yourself, reaching the peak of the slope and entering in to adulthood! I think it's beautiful, and knowing it's directed by Shinichiro Watanabe, and composed by Yoko Kanno makes it more beautiful! I think this is going to be an anime to remember... for a long, long time...

@imperlast2 read the manga. and josei = manga for teenaged and adult women. and while i only found/read a bit of it online, unless all that tension is only the tension pushing them towards becoming a jazz band, the manga shows the guy in the glasses responding with more traditionally romantic things to the drummer (right down to the bishie sparkle) than to the girl (nothing). might be gay. either way, i'll watch it.
