@scotty688, Basically in the key of C but the chord progression is outlining the modes of the key of C (A aeolian F Lydian D dorian C Ionian B phrygian then back to A aeolian) He does throw in some bluesy things in there as well, then the more classical sounding progression at the end covers what sounds like C harmonic minor, when I try to figure out solos I learn the chords under the solo so that I can hear how the melody is interacting with the harmony.

deathcore? one of the last things deathcore is known for is shred. i can't name a single deathcore guitarist that is known for speed. you can't tell them that they have no emotion either. i can feel so much emotion from guitarists like michael angelo batio but there are people out there that say that people listen to him because they like to hear something fast. shred isn't something everybody can feel, but when you do you realize that it's as emotional as ant genre of music.

the first section, before he ascends, is great and quite rhythmic, but after he ascends and then descends the neck, its just pentatonic scale shape which was disappointing. the bluesy and neo-classical shred stuff after was pretty nice, tapping finish was gimmicky
