  • THANK YOU THERESA, i always come to you when i can't figure out instructions in a pattern! incredibly helpful!

  • Would you add Closed Captioning on this video because I am trying to figure out with my cluster....

  • plse help me row 1. work in back ridges of ch(sc 2 dc) in 2nd ch fm hook repeat across to last 4 chs, sk next 3 chs, dc in last ch (25cl) row 2: ch 2 sk next dc, sc n ch2 sp (sc 2dc) in next dc, repeat across to last 2 sts, sk nextdc, dc in last sc (26 cl) . i can'r visualize the pattern -

  • Thank you very much. I have a pattern that calls for both cluster st and a beg cl. Can you show me how to do a beginning cluster.

  • There is obviously more than that, but Row 2 is what I'm having the hard time working with.

  • Teresa; I'm in a bit of a pickle..Lol I'm a beginner and found this baby blanket I absolutely want to crochet but am having a hard time understanding the instructions. It reads as;

Row 1: (Wrong side) Sc in second ch from hook, Work cluster, skip next 3 chs, sc in next ch) across; finish off:

Row 2: With RIGHT side facing, join White with sc in first sc; ch 1, working BEHIND next Cluster; dc in second skipped ch BELOW Cluster, ch 1, sc in next sc; repeat from first ch 1.

  • my instrn says holding back last lp of each st on hook, 2dc,yo, pull thru all lps on hook. how? plse help

  • @65twinkle It sounds like what your instructions are asking you to do is similar to what this video is showing. When you are leaving the last loop on the hook, you are joining stitches at the top.

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I'm a beginner crocheter and worse, a left-handed one. But, your video is wonderful.

  • could you make a baby or an adult cap with this?

  • @mrsowens0515 This stitch would make a nice cap!

  • Teresa.................the pattern i am working on says cluster-3.. which explains as

[yo hook twice, insert hook in the st, yo hook and draw though a loop, yo hook , draw though two loops, yo hook, draw through 2 loops] 3 times, yo hook draw through 4 loops on hook. i cant really get it... can u please help me out........................ thank u

  • @tanyabharathi It sound like you are working a triple crochet cluster. It will be worked the same as this stitch only you are working , pull through two, twice for the longer stitch.

  • Thank you so much for making this. I have instructions for a rose lattice afghan I'm making and the instructions were confusing me on how to do this stitch. I'm so glad I found this video. I just started crocheting probably about a month ago and I love it. :) I already made two sweaters for my children.

  • what chain stitch is she using at 33 seconds? the fourth one again? or a new one?

  • This is awesome! i have crocheted for 11 years since i was 7 years old taught myself how to do most of it besides the basic what my grandma showed me. Thanks this is so helpful : )

  • This is wonderful, thank you so much! I crocheted a blanket (all V-stitches) and it turned out a bit less wide than I had anticipated. I've been looking for a stitch to add as a border and this works perfectly! You did a great job explaining and showing it clearly on the camera. I appreciate the repetition too, it makes it much easier to remember. Keep it up!

  • Thank you, I appreciate the comment.

  • i was not sure about the "dc 4 tog cluster"

is that the same thing with this?

  • I am grateful I was not sure about this stitch as well as the fdcs. I am teaching myself and this has been very helpful as I do not have anyone to guide me. Wendy Ella

  • I am hook with all you videos. I find myself sitting at my computer watching it over and over again. I am so greatful. I am learing to do this blanket with cluster and the direction is so confuse, but with your video, I am now master of this stitch.

  • This is soooooooooo complicated! I admire you for all of your knowledge, "Mother Teresa" :P

  • If you are new to crochet, I would suggest learning some of the basic crochet stitches first before trying this stitch.

  • I love your videos they help me sooooo much!!

  • You are welcome. :)

  • Click on the tjw1963 to the right of the video and it will take you to my main page. On the left hand side you will see my profile with an e-mail address. Comments won't post any longer with e-mails addresses, otherwise I would just post it here.

  • Your demonstrations seem to be the easiest for me to follow! Gosh, I have never been able to understand books but have no problem following if I am shown. Thanks so much for your wonderful videos...All I need now is to figure out how to end a shell afghan!

  • What do you mean by how to end a shell afghan?

  • I have never figured out how to end any kind of afghan I've been working on. Right now I am working on a shell afghan so I would need a demonstration on how to end afghans in general! Thanks so much. Phyllis

  • thankyou

  • i halfway through a thing im making and i ran out of wool, wats the best way to join more wool on?

  • I had a tutorial up about that but I am revising it. Take your hook out of your project. Put the new yarn on your hook as though you are starting a new project. Pick the loop back up on your project and then do a slip stitch through both loops on your hook.

  • cool, what wool do you use, is it good to use thick wool or thin?

  • I have used 4-Ply worsed weight in most demonstrations.

  • Any of the stitches I demonstrate can be turned in to a baby afghan. The shell stitch makes a pretty baby afghan. Anywhere between 100 to 150 chains will make a nice size afghan

  • You've done a lot of stitches, now I need to know what I can do with them! I want to make a pretty baby blanket! I don't know what will look good!

  • cool
