are you serious? The Van Halen brothers are superb musicians. Eddie had a big impact in the guitar scene.

they never wrote big epics like Led Zeppelin or Iron Maiden, they are "just" a fun rock band. But so what?

If I really want to listen to "serious" music I dont listen to rock, but to classical music. Rock is fun, and Van Halen also the David Lee Roth band (Vai!!) really make me enjoy my time. What more do you want?

with Gary: Year to the day (reminds of Led Zeppelin)

maybe there are more ACDC tracks that last longer, but Van Halen has this special vibration.

The core is the superb interaction of the VH Brothers.
