Yes, we are getting our asses kicked with high fuel prices. Sadly, American automakers have always believed in "bigger is better". That policy worked fine up until 1973, when the first oil embargo took effect.
I don't even think America has seen the worst of what's to come, though. The US is in serious trouble, and the trouble all revolves around one word: OIL

Ahh !, I think we had the same car over here but it was called the "swift" and yeah they were cheap to run.
I suppose you guys would have noticed the fuel economy more than us with the big engined cars over there.
