@kwilla200 I had a “bac Science Math” and I could choose between L’ecole Mohammadia, l’ecole Hassania, l’ISCAE, la Marine Marchande, la RAM, la fac de Science and I choose la RAM but some hearing problems forced me to leave la RAM and I went to la fac des sciences where I got my BS in Math then I came to the US and studied engineering; my friends and I didn’t dwell on how things should be but instead worked with what’s there and made the best of it, so stop your whining it's very pathetic.

I took l concours dial la RAM &marine marchande 2yrs in a row.4000+ candidates for 20 seats tech/20 seats sci,and the seats were sold in advance.no way with no piston. L'ISCAE is not an option for technicals.I went back to la fac PC for 1 yr then was able to leave the country. I'm not whining but grateful that US gave me the opportunity 2 get a master in engineering, Morocco didn't.

@kwilla2001 I am from Morocco and as far as I can recall, not only was education free for everyone but those coming from remote villages were housed and fed for free and in college all students got a scholarship to cover their living expenses and there was no shortage of universities, engineering schools, schools of medicine, etc… I came to the USA by choice not by necessity but all those I know that finished their education in Morocco in scientific and business fields did very well in life.
But here is what keeps most people poor and illiterate; the government sends nurses to poor neighborhoods to educate women on birth control and to distribute contraceptives, but most women would not use them because of ignorance or because the husband wants a lot of kids; he is only concerned with his "future" not with that of the kids so instead of going to school they are forced to work menial jobs or even worse and the father collects and might even expend the business with a 2d wife or more.

I agree that having nothing to believe in at all can make most people feel Lost, and it is important to have something to believe in. But Islam at the moment is not a "role model" religion. Its these clerics, they are even more powerful than some leaders in these countries to a degree.
Trouble is, and I do believe that "religion" is important, Its just Islam is the most dangerous religion out there today. And what scares me the most is not the younger angry, Islamic follower, the extremists. What really scares me the most is the majority of Islamic followers, the peaceful ones and I will explain why. Its because of the fact they dont do alot to root out and stop these "Extremists."
Yes most leaders with power only want more, and all that. But the difference with these countries is they have no real "Democracy" Religion dictates and governs their countries, above all else. Which is why they are so complicated as a people. And also why they are not a dominant player in the world economy. A lot of what comes down to why these countries, and its people, "Arabs" are the way they are is simply, purely, because of "THEIR RELIGION."
The only way you'd ever find out the "truth" about exactly what these people are about is to totally devote your entire self, your whole life, become part of Islam, and even that can take years to gain the trust and respect to enter these "Inner Circles" and reach the heart of Islamic culture, and its people. The trouble with these countries is so complicated, and its mainly down to their religion of which they are devoted to. Its etched into their genes. I hate to say this, but as an Arab I have no rebuttal to this, and in fact I've had many of the same views before even seeing this. The problem is that we have crude, totalitarian ultra-conservative norms. But I reject the notion that Arab Muslims aren't capable of great things. Europe was once itself in such a dark age, meanwhile Muslim civilization flourished (and in fact our golden age helped lead to the European golden age). Things definitely need to change, which will take much time.

There is a well known list of pre-eminent Muslim scholars and scientists during this age, and I assure you the vast majority are Arabs. @kwilla200 I had a “bac Science Math” and I could choose between L’ecole Mohammadia, l’ecole Hassania, l’ISCAE, la Marine Marchande, la RAM, la fac de Science and I choose la RAM but some hearing problems forced me to leave la RAM and I went to la fac des sciences where I got my BS in Math then I came to the US and studied engineering; my friends and I didn’t dwell on how things should be but instead worked with what’s there and made the best of it, so stop your whining it's very pathetic.

I'm not whining but grateful that US gave me the opportunity 2 get a master in engineering, Morocco didn't.

@kwilla2001 I am from Morocco and as far as I can recall, not only was education free for everyone but those coming from remote villages were housed and fed for free and in college all students got a scholarship to cover their living expenses and there was no shortage of universities, engineering schools, schools of medicine, etc… I came to the USA by choice not by necessity but all those I know that finished their education in Morocco in scientific and business fields did very well in life.

But here is what keeps most people poor and illiterate; the government sends nurses to poor neighborhoods to educate women on birth control and to distribute contraceptives, but most women would not use them because of ignorance or because the husband wants a lot of kids; he is only concerned with his "future" not with that of the kids so instead of going to school they are forced to work menial jobs or even worse and the father collects and might even expend the business with a 2d wife or more.

Islam's true meaning is Lost now, these Extremists are kinda playing Amreica at its own game. While the high elders, the clerics, will just sit back, and let these extremists do what they want, because these clerics are just wishing for another "Holy War," they want all these Terrorist attacks to keep happening, to start trouble throughout the world, and Kick off another "World War." Thats what they have been planning for some time now, a "Jihad" a Holy War.

"You dont have to be a muslim to understand Islam??" Truthfully I think a Muslim person reading this first part would definatley disagree with you there, Islam is a very old, and complicated religion. And to understand it would take years of dedicated study. I think decades ago Islam was maybe a okay religion, that was peaceful, the trouble is now, Its really the "Wests" fault, America dabbling, and Interfering with East Asia, they've kinda exploited and messed up these countries now.

I believe it was the UK & Europe who initially screwed these countries up, if U actually want to blame it on some1 other than the Muslims. Looks like Muslims have been having holy wars & fighting each other since almost the very beginning of Islam. They were attacking US & European ships N the US's very beginnings. I suppose it was b/c of ppl like U that they initially took parts of Europe, just as today they R taking Europe & Britain over slowly but surely b/c of ppl like U.

These Influences from other countries are one of the main reasons why the younger generation are like they are today. I think religion is Important to a certian degree, and western people, especially younger gen, their attitudes to religion have changed, most are like they just dont believe in it anymore. Alot because they have mainly saw alot of "Wars" that took place, because of religion. And at this same time religion has caused a lot of Wars throughout centuries.

I think there are bad points and flaws to both sides of the world, East and West. In the West people are too dependent on everything, and in a way have become less Independent. Technology, fashion, theres been alot of changes in everything over the years, social and family values have declined. But alot of this is to do with, Multicultural Influences, flooding into these Western countries, Its had a dramatic Influence on culture.

If theres anyone who has more of a chance of actually doing something about stamping out "Terrorism" It is the Muslims themselves. I agree that having nothing to believe in at all can make most people feel Lost, and it is important to have something to believe in. But Islam at the moment is not a "role model" religion. Its these clerics, they are even more powerful than some leaders in these countries to a degree.

Trouble is, and I do believe that "religion" is important, Its just Islam is the most dangerous religion out there today. And what scares me the most is not the younger angry, Islamic follower, the extremists. What really scares me the most is the majority of Islamic followers, the peaceful ones and I will explain why. Its because of the fact they dont do alot to root out and stop these "Extremists."

Yes most leaders with power only want more, and all that. But the difference with these countries is they have no real "Democracy" Religion dictates and governs their countries, above all else. Which is why they are so complicated as a people. And also why they are not a dominant player in the world economy. A lot of what comes down to why these countries, and its people, "Arabs" are the way they are is simply, purely, because of "THEIR RELIGION."

The only way you'd ever find out the "truth" about exactly what these people are about is to totally devote your entire self, your whole life, become part of Islam, and even that can take years to gain the trust and respect to enter these "Inner Circles" and reach the heart of Islamic culture, and its people. Otherwise they will always let you see exactly what they want you to see.

The trouble with these countries is so complicated, and its mainly down to their religion of which they are devoted to. Its etched into their genes. Islam, religions been around for centuries in those countries, and they've been having "Tribal wars," fighting and killing each for the same amount of time. You try to stick up for them, but even you wont know these people "In truth," because you are an "outsider" even to them, a foreigner, even a "Westerner"

Selling their oil off to the highest bidder, but I dont hear bout them spending money on their people, their country. They keep buying their $100,000 hotels and cars, but dont invest in the really important things like "Infrastructure, economy." These are some of the things I think this man is trying to say.

Yeah I've heard bout "Dubai" and those Islands the one shaped like Peacocks feathers, and the other a dipictiction of "The World," and yes that extraordinary Hotel. All indeed amazing feats, but I have also heard that Dubai is in debt. Dubai is the result of very rich, "Saudis" in their Pearl White satin robes dressed from head to toe, these men have so much wealth, I've even heard some of the wealthiest heirs are Invested in alot of Americas economy.

There is a low rape rate in arab nations because they don't count it or refuse to go public with the numbers, and the women who are raped get killed by their family or given some 90 lashes by the government.
There's arab nations who are equal in _money_ (not tech or social advancement) to some of the "lesser" european nations, but only Saudi-Arabia is "richer", and they're still a bunch of savage bastards who use slave labor and kill people who don't believe in their unholy book enough
