You can tell the good puzzles, because you remember them decades after being fooled the 1'st time around. I hope not to be fooled twice, even if I have to drill at an angle and come out diagonally at 12.727 inches on vol 10 from where I started in vol 1. That would make my wrong answer right I think.

Is the book cover 1/8th" counting both the front and back cover?

@Akulanization, no. Each front cover is 1/8 of an inch thick, and each back cover is 1/8 of an inch thick.
