Ike is not the first biker killed by a tractor trailer on the Dragon. The parts manager of Honda of Alcoa was riding with his cousin who hit a truck blocking his lane on US129 at Deals Gap, underride style, killing him instantly. Gov Haslam's VIP resort manager on the Dragon told 1-million AMA riders that he wants to ban all bikers from TN and named a highway to honor the convicted hit-and-run killer of a biker tourist in Blount County (google Senator Carl Koella) and TDOT bans all businesses.
This was indeed a tragedy and my thoughts and prayers goes out to the victim and his family. This type of tragedy affects all of us as a motorcycle community even though we may not all have had the pleasure of knowing him, rest in peace brotha....

Ike was the first person to every post a video response to a question I had back in the day on LiveVideo, I still can't believe this happened, and out of all people to him. I may not communicate with the LV crew much anymore, but that does not mean I forgot those people, that was a very good bunch of folks and still is to this day. He was always so kind and encouraging to me. I was hoping to go to the meetup this year, but couldn't get the time off of work. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

I'm so angry this guy was taken.I looked at Ike's videos.He wasn't some madman at Deals Gap trying to be the fastest.These trucks that cross the yellow over 300 times have got to go!I'm so mad I didn't get to hangout with Ike.Bless his family.I hope to ride with him in the next life.
Ike129 is my dad..he did die on the way to the hospital. Idk about the trailer actually Running over him. There has been 3 different stories about the injury and what caused it. No one is sure until it's investigated more.

I'm sure you know. At the accident scene when Ike was with Lacy and Aaron, he spoke of his family and to tell them that he loves you all. Ike was only concerned about everyone else, not himself.
When I returned to the motel, I was honestly thinking he was going to make it.

damn.. i just saw this on killboys report in email.. this comes up quickly on google.. sorry to hear this.. we ride the dragon 2-3 times a year.. we were just there in middle of June.. TN Troopers were escorting a few 18-wheelers thru there.. this is tragic.. maybe this will get something done about this.. our thoughts and prayers to his family... Thanks for sharing..

I've never met Ike in person but I've talked to him a few times on Youtube. He seemed like a great guy. I know for those of you that are there this is really rough especially after having a fatality at the last meetup.
I've been to Deals Gap twice now and both times I had too many close calls. I was going to try to ride up for at least a day or two this week but I've been sick. I hope you guys all have a safe trip home.
