  • Great Video '' it will work for the FT840??????

  • Hey Randy; Does TRX manager have a psk31 interface? If not, is there a psk31 program that works with TRX?

    Thanks

    Tom

  • Randy, what does TRX manager have that Ham Radio Deluxe doesn't?

  • @jssawyer1993 HRD has much much more. I feel HRD is too much, as it tries to become the do all program. Lots of guys like it, it is free. I have it, but don't do much with it. I have not moved my log to HRD.

  • hi randy great videos do you know if this would this control a atas120 on my ft-857d thanks

  • @BlackGoldEstates Not sure, the radio controls the antenna. Don't know if TRX can hit the TUNE button on the radio to tune the antenna.

  • hi randy great videos would this control a atas120 on my ft-857d thanks

  • i like your videos, their very informal and symple.

  • how meny radio can i run with TRX manager? Or better ask how meny can i interface? if i have it in scan mode and i hear somone can i then change to that radio if i using a diffrent one at the time? hope that makes sence??

also how well does the Log work for contesting? I ready get confused with using more than 1 log software.

thanks Randy, I who to work you and QSo with you in whatever mode maybe echolink.

  • I think it can only control one radio at a time. I know you can switch between two radios, maybe more. Probably not a scan manager.

The logging software is probably OK for general contesting. It does not know contest items that are needed for the exchange or reporting after the contest. Contest logging software is much better for contesting than TRX.

  • Hi K7AGE and all,

For TRX Manager have you built any 2 meter repeater files? I am looking to see if there are any available that I can modify. I spoke with Laurent about it and he suggested modifying an SWL file. I think I might be able to modify the SWL or one of the memory files but I would like to see if anyone else has done this so as not to reinvent the wheel.

  • I have a few local repeaters programmed in.Easy to do yourself. Randy

  • Hi Randy,

Can you share them? It would help me to make sure I get the repeater format correct. Thanks and Happy New Year.

  • Hi. Great video!

What is the difference between a CAT interface cable, a packet interface cable and a band data cable.

Would you say that TRX Manager is a worthwhile investment for someone just with an endfed and enjoys QRP - max 10W.

Many thanks and have a great Christmas!

  • CAT is radio control, serial. Packet interface is audio to and from the radio to the computer or TNC plus PTT. Band data usually goes to an antenna tuner to tell the tuner what band the radio is set to. Band data interfaces are usually manufacturer specific. Randy
