Yeah, this is true. Like a lot of songs, though, such as Burning Battlefield, they play in the other sagas. I'm not 100% accurate on this, but I think that very little, if any at all, of the Kanto through Johto tracks played starting with the Sinnoh saga.

@AmauryGarcia Kanto and Johto "music" is played all the time throughout Hoenn and Sinnoh. If you watch you dub you really have no room to comment since 4Kids and TPCi replace a good chunk of the soundtrack.

Funny. I was thinking about Red's old legendaries (Suicune, raikou, and Entei) from the 13th pokemon movie and how they must of been distroyed whe ash beat him, and they were reencarnated by Ho-Oh and Red was still alive (in the games) so I best bet that he met up with Celibi after the fight and managed to get his legendaries away before they were killed and they roamed free, as shinies.

I pictured Silver catching Suicune, but then, days later another one appeared, and it was mad! *this music*

This theme did debut in the first season, it just plays a lot in the 2nd season. You're probably remembering it from the fight vs The Astounding Mandy at the Pokemon League. It plays when Exeggutor fights Krabby.

@NintendoWizard i first remembered it in the first season when ash finally got home after he collected his eight badges and met that circus lady. team rocket was trying to steal the pokemon in a tank and the circus people tried to get away in trucks. from since then, it was used rather often and was heavily used in season two when ash was at the orange islands.

Bleh after johto it went downhill.

Not just storywise... but Pokémon wise too.

Most pokémon now are slightly altered versions of the original 252.

Seviper was the alternative to Ekans/arbok.

Torterra looks too much like venusaur (animal with a plant on his back?) yes I know the legend of the turtle with the world on his back. but still looks too much like venusaur in my opinion.

the new region isnt in japan and looks like its in sanfransisco, theres rummours that ashes cousin is from New york and is the main protagonist of the new series

the region IS said to be really far away from the other 4 regions. this indicates its not set in japan the animie is usually set in the same region as the released games. theres lots of other evidence backing up newyork being in the region and therefore the anime.

its just rumors and guess work but it adds up!!!

I have a question: I notice the tune is called "Real Pokémon vs. Copy Pokémon"? Is this from the original Japanese edition of "Mewtwo Strikes Back" where the real Venusaur, Blastoise, and Charizard fight Mewtwo's cloned ones? I never watched the Japanese version, only the American one, but I heard that the Japanese soundtrack for the movie was very different, and it's the only place I can think of where this title makes sense (unless it's Episode 37: the Ditto episode).
