This song is just too awesome. its inspiring. not to mention the sound quality on this video is alot better than that of the official video. i think i just have shitty speakers though lol.
Adapting to the era is not a merit!!!! If you have a say, you can still say it in your way. You don't need to make pop music to reach crowds. This is not Pearl Jam's way. This is not Ed's way.
Best album since Ten. Pearl Jam is doing it just like The Rolling Stones. They are adapting their music to the times. There was the "grunge" Pearl Jam. Now there is a "pop" Pearl Jam. Who knows what's next, but they can do it.
Lat time i'll write this,..Matt wrote the word's to this song,..It's not hard to find this out yourself Clemep,.It seems your one of those peoiple who hate being wrong,..Heres a excerpt....... (This should have clued you in that Matt Cameron had something to do with this, and Mike just revealed that Matt wrote the song with the whole band arranging it.) Go look for yourself bro,.It's not hard.,...See everyone on the upcoming tour
now that i've had backspacer for sometime, i would say that i can appreciate the "under-production". i much rather have that than the over produced stuff they've done, especially since binaural (which previous to backspacer, i thought was the end of the band). but, backspacer is great. the last 3 songs are a little weak, but overall, it's quite good. i was very satisfied. nevertheless, jack irons era was the best, and i wish they'd get him back. wake up these old men some more. haha
@sunsetally : absolutely agreed...jack irons albums were the best...even if they weren't critically acclaimed...vitalogy, no code, yield...their three best IMO, the golden age of PJ...i love all their stuff though...
@chriscontey : matt did not write the words...read the liner notes...besides, eddie writes almost all their lyrics...eddie wrote the lyrics on this one and matt, stone, mike wrote the music...
i guess i stand corrected. still want jack irons back. didn't like green river or mother love bone too much...or bad radio for that matter. MLBone did have a couple solid tracks. man of golden words was pretty great for its time.
@sunsetally : totally agreed...the jack irons era was their golden era...those were albums you could listen to, beginning to end, over and over and over (and i did, in fact!)

I think Matt Cameron wrote this one. Ed likely wrote the lyrics. Pearl Jam kicks ass.

i'm feeling this. so much better than the speed of sound crap song i just listened to. eddie should not write pearl jam songs. stone and jeff should.

are you talking about the music or the lyrics?
'cause if you're talkin' about the lyrics...then you probably don't know a shit about Pearl Jam...
