I think the joke here is that when I was a kid I didn't get it either. It was 'just stacking' you'd put the blocks on top of another and the game would end... then an adult informed me, you're supposed to make lines with the blocks from left to right and they would go away, the goal was NOT to stack.

I don't think anyone ever told heavy this.

Um, actually Mr. Brahe, I know that Tetris Attack is originally known as "Panel de Pon" in Japan where the characters were completely different. The original Japanese version starred magical girls and the main character was the fairy of flowers, named Lip. It was much better than that Yoshi-fied crap you played. *pushes back glasses*
