Top Gear - Focus RS vs Megane R26R Part II

In terms of aesthetics I think the Megan is one of the worst looking hot hatches ever, the front end isn’t bad but the sides and rear are a mess, the Focus though has to be the best looking hot hatches ever (as long as it isn't green).

However in terms of how they drive even the less extreme Megan R26’s have such a good reputation I would be far more interested in having a drive in the Renault but the Ford would be the one I would buy.

if you watch it at the end line carefully, when that man is driving both cars, you will see that there is no way that they are 1.2 secs apart. i would even say that the focus finished before megane. even though if it's not, the fovus cans be still driven as a family car, while the megane can't.

The video was not time sync'd they sync'd each corner so the cars enter each corner at the same time to show the difference in how they entered and exited the corners. So say the focus looked like it was ahead at the end of the vid makes no sense

Love both cars but in order of what i would buy 1st if i had 20-30k, bmw 135i evo x 370z r26r sti wrx rocus rs clio cup jcw cooper s s3 gti r32 cupra r Your mama!!!! I'll just have to make do with my mums sdrive35i.

i don't but new cars as you get stiffed with VAT.

Better to buy a used 6 month or 1 year old for 30k or less depending on options!!!

I forgot the lotus exige in that list as well!!!

the focus is a good car apart from the fact that no power goes to the rear wheels.oh well back to the drawing board me thinks.

In my opinion, as long as the Focus RS is FWD, it will be awful. It could shave about 4 seconds a lap off if it had AWD like Ford promised with the last one.

I'd pick the focus RS all day long over the renault, The RS is such a better car overall.
