It's hard being raw in Scotland, there just isn't the support for it here unfortunately. Maybe I have to move to America! Maybe not, I'm kinda stuck here for the next 3 years because of my studies.

I'm curious your reasoning for this? I've been all but all raw for a couple weeks now & feel appreciably better for it. ... Yeah, like miso, like yogurt, has living probiotics is a great waste to kill, so water maybe has friendly microbes when we're confident in the integrity of its source. Hmm, my curiosity brought out my own reasoning.

As someone who needs to lose the same amount as you have already lost- it is so encouraging to see it can be done. I have done periods of high/100% raw and I have felt my best at those times. i ve met a really interessting person: He was super nice to everybody. But if somebody does something unfair to him he protected himself while staying calm and friendly. He said he is the kind of person that puts the knife in the body while smiling. Protecting yourself is really important everyone jumbs on your head if u dont.The attitude of this soldier/kick boxer/free fighter/ insurances sales person really inspired me. Everything is fine, the world is perfect u re the island in the stormy sea.There is nothing bad that can happen. Its just the wind thats blowing. I'm starting the journey myself. It's about the journey not the destination for me. For me just jumping in with a juice fast or going 100% raw would not work. So, what I have done is add to my diet instead of taking away. I add green smoothies, salads, avocados, mangos, papayas.... Everyone is differnt though listen to your body. Also, dealing with your emotions is a vital part of the journey.

Great comment, cocr8tr. That is an excellent way to transition to a partially or entirely raw diet. Instead of taking the approach that certain things are "bad" and feeling bad about consuming them, start adding more and more "good" (alive, nutritious) food, and eventually there will be no room for the bad stuff, and you won't like it or desire it, anyway.

Fantastic! That's the way to go. Gradually make more and more of every mouthfull and every calory count. Steady progress is less stressfull on the body. I feel totally amazing on this awesome diet. If you struggle, then investigate the low fat raw vegan diet (80 10 10 diet) it really helped me out :-)
