  • Rubbing acetone on back of a xerox copy helps release the ink to any flat surface as well.

  • PArLA TROPPO.

  • please tell me what kind of paper you used to do the see through girl's heads!!!

  • @eamonchamp I am taking an old magazine image and creating an image transfer out of it by coating it with gel medium, letting it dry and removing the paper off of the back. That's the image transfer technique.

  • @MicheleTheberge 1. Choose an image and affix it to a non-stick surface using tape or a few brush strokes of Gloss Medium and Varnish. This will present any buckling of the image. 2. Using a flat brush or palette knife, apply a thin, even coat of any Liquitex Gloss Gel or Gloss Medium & Varnish (approximately 1/8” thick), completely covering the entire surface of the image.

  • 3. Allow to dry until the medium is fully transparent. Detach the image from the surface and immerse in water for about 10 minutes until the paper is saturated. 4. Gently rub the paper off the acrylic sheet with your fingertips or with a soft sponge. Set the transfer aside to dry. (The acrylic medium may become cloudy when wet, but will dry clear.)

  • @MicheleTheberge 5. When the medium is dry to the touch, the transfer can be permanently attached to any support using Gloss Medium & Varnish or any Liquitex Gel Medium.

  • @MicheleTheberge Thanks for the reply! I know how you are doing the image transfers but I was wondering if you transferred the image onto special material for the lampshade effect. The paper looked kinda hard and clear in the video.

  • @eamonchamp There is no paper. It's gel medium.

  • I just bought the book "New Acrylics". Can't wait to read it.

  • Nice girl

  • thanks alot

  • thanks

  • I especially like that you included your friend's transfer because i was wondering about doing things with original images...and i still love messing around with xerox copies!
