ill tell you a easy trick find a v in a tree at the base so the cant get behind it then put a empty jar of peanut butter with chicken liver then about a hand length in front set your foot trap

@75mxracer i use that set when i ind the right tree, it helps if you have old food droppings in it, like minnows or crayfish, just lets you know they are in the area thanks for watching

im tryin to catch me one of them winter coons. im tryin to catch it for the fur cuz they got that nice winter coat. i been trapping coons in the summer and works everytime i put the trap in the woods but it seems when i really wanna get one they wont even go near the trap. i use cat food and dog food and use a box trap. ive even used fish. any suggestions that could help? thanks

@xXxjoemanxXx try finding a stream to set near, they love to run them for minnows and crayfish, but if you're bait is stinky enough they will investigate it, also, scent travels better in warmer weather so that may affect the scent dispersal in the winter

I've notice that raccoon bait are on the sweet side, do marshmallow really have that strong of a smell..??

@oakland002 a lot of people use marshmallows, but they dont have a strong smell, they are more for an area the raccoon will be traveling and see them, my bait is very stinky and its considered a call lure, to attract them, marshmallows are more to get them to go in certain positions to trap them mostly with dogproofs and legholds

@TheArchery97 its because of the fishy smell, we used fish oil with this to get the same smell

i made my own out of peanut butter jelly cat food tuna fish juce and bread
