it's all very subjective to the individual ear, I have rarely heard Z's or Sab's that impress me sonically - even though some of my favourite drummers play them.

Whereas Paiste have always sounded good to me - favourite hats are the 2002 13" medium, also have a soft spot for the 2002 22"bell ride.

whats with the hate on here i love paistes an im not realy i big zildjian fan dont know why, sabians are great but for me theyre a bit too bright and meinls are also AMAZING but overall im a paiste guy, whatever people like they can like just leave them alone for it have want you want/can afford and play with it :)

I'm considering getting a 14" RUDE BOTTOM and using it to replace the the bottom on my 2002 Medium Hi-Hat.

I'm Leaning towards the RUDE bottom over the 2002 HEAVY bottom cause I wanted a little more focus in the open sound. (RUDE sounds more focused to me)

Has anyone done this or something similar? Thoughts?

After much shopping I shelled out the cash and bought 14" Zildjian A-Custom Mastersound hats. That zildjian sounded the best to me (and still does). But I favor Paiste crashes over all other. Are they better...for me they are but that doesn't make it a fact. Also...your "fag" comment was uncalled for!

Paiste makes some of the best sounding rides and hi-hats on the market. Absolutely love the entire RUDE series and the 2002 22" power ride. Great shit !!

@RhinoKlox Basically, the Wilds have more volume and projection. The sound edges are crinkled at the bottom to prevent air pockets when your opening and closing them.

@jarradooo finish? there is no finish, that is the point of Rude's, they are raw, if they had a finish they wouldn't have that raw sound there known for, they would just be ordinary cymbals, they look RUDE they sound RAW. you can't get a cymbal tone like that anywhere, so if its the sound your looking for, you deal with the look lol

as far as i know rude cymbals are pretty much bomb proof, my drummer breaks cymbals a lot but has NEVER broke his rude cymbals, they are solid, and are worth their weight in gold!

rudes are very helpful for anything where youre going to play a loud gig. they cut with great sound and are extra thick for those of us, including me, who like to smash the sh*t out the cymbals.
