Clearly you're a badass. Superb articulation; artistic agogics. The choice of period organ is enlightening, but adding the continuo in the LH shows your respect for tradition (knowledgeable thoroughbass harmonization) while not being bound by it (making an arrangement with pedals suitable to a continental organ). The registration subtleties were delightful--the 2nd echo trumpet, and adding the and subtracting the quarte from the nazard. Brilliant and inspiring work. Thank you!
Thank you for your kind and insightful remarks about my performance of the Stanley Voluntary. Although this was performed via virtual organ (Sonus Paradisi's Forcalquier French Baroque organ), I perform this piece regularly on a North German organ manufactured by Berghaus. The articulation you heard is the result of numerous years of practice/performance of this piece.
I would be glad to send you a pdf of my arrangement of the score. Just send another reply with your email address -- using "(at) .... (dot) (com), and I will make sure you get a copy. Then I will delete your email address information from this thread.
Thanks a lot for sending i have started studying the piece!
The pedal part is kinda tricky in some parts, and of course i cant make as many registration changes as seen in the video, since i dont have someone to assist me in that part.
1) I recorded the piece live into Digital Performer, using the software was used as a pseudo tape recorder to capture the live performance.
2) I played back the file and used iShowU video screen capture software.
3) In order to zoom in on various aspects of the video capture, I used the scroll button on my Logitech Mouse and zoomed in and out in real time. The resulting file was a .mov file capable of being uploaded to YouTube.
Regarding the sample set, I used Sonus Paradisi's Forcalquier French Baroque virtual organ library. In order to pan the trumpet 1 and trumpet 2 stops, I edited their individual pipes' panning in Hauptwerk software.
I do not have the organ of the Bovenkerk to Kampen at this time. If I do get it, I will certainly make a video of my performance on it and set on Youtube.
