Whenever I had to sail somewhere far away, I would aim the King of Red Lions in the right direction and just turn up the volume, look out the window at the sky, and enjoy this song. Sometimes I got attacked by enemies while I was looking away from the game, but WHO CARES? THIS IS JUST TOO BEAUTIFUL!!!

Ah memories... I remember sailing the ocean eager to reach my next destination. I felt a real sense of adventure and exploration whenever I played this game. I never felt like that with any video game before even to this day. And the music that plays while you set sail...it's truly magical. I love the Legend of Zelda! <3 Best game ever!

damn im 28 years old by now but when i heard this i went back 2 the 90s and remember Ocarina of time,Majoras Mask and then the E3 came up showing a mature Link fighting Gannondorf,then a few months later they showed the wind waker.Suddenly everybody was like WTH!!! what happened 2 the Mature Link and now they giving us this cartoonish,cell shaded Link. But at the end every1 loved him and still. good job @ posting this cuz new generations dont know what they missed.

God I loved this game so much. The first time you set sail and this theme tune kicks in..... Gaming magic.

So clever the way they rearranged the classic Zelda theme tune and gave it a nautical feel. Nintendo have such a flare for that kind of thing. Thanks for posting. :)

This game is underrated due to its looks and art style. Believe me when I first saw it in 2003 I thought that looks childish, I am not renting that! That s what I thought. Later I bought a gamecube gave it a shot I was hooked on this game.

Wind Waker was my first Zelda game and what an amazing experience it was. Just sailing the ocean of hyrule, this music starts playing, you see a new island in the distance, it's a magical experience.

Why can't more games be like this? Screw COD, Halo or whatever whiny teens are playing today. Thank you Nintendo for bringing wonder, joy, adventure and magic to gaming :-)

@AdventuresofTFlex Not at all. This game was so much better than TP on many levels. Only thing TP has over this game is graphics. (I loved the cartoony graphics anyway but that's just me) A lot of people didn't play wind waker because they judged it on it's look, was a horrible mistake in my opinion. This game was an awesome addition to the whole series.

This has been my fav Link game, now there are just maiing silly "wannabe" darker LoZ games with awful controls for wii, and leaving the aawsomely good storylines behind and slappiing Toon Link into useless DS games. Hyrule was cool and fairytale like, with a BELIVABE LoZ boat. Then came the phantom hour glass with a good single card play but a stupid steam boat, and dont even get me started on the train...
