  • While working in NYC years ago, someone I know says she helped a destitute guy who had lost his legs when a train ran over him. He had virtually nothing but a welfare apt. He claimed to have been Blondie's drummer.  She didn't believe him until she saw what looked like royalty checks he didn't know he had. His name was Ronnie Toast. I'm not at all certain, but I thing it was probably the guy you'e asking about.
