Reekoslav, the LT1 is the same engine in the Corvettes from 94-96. Do not be fooled by another "cloned" 5.7L engine. I bought my 95 SS in 2001. I have a friend that had a 90s Corvette. I remember following him on the highway and when he punched it...so did I and he couldn't lose me. The same engine.

hey man i got a 95 SS with the same exact system but with an H pipe, it doesn't sound as deep and loud though. I'm using the 2.5'' pipe that came with the kit which goes out to the tips, do you think your bigger tips making the difference?

@extracredit100, The American Thunder kit for the 94-96 Impala SS/Caprice uses 3 chamber 50 series mufflers which are not as loud as the 2 chamber 40 series mufflers. The 40 series mufflers sound better, but they do have alot more drone @ certain rpm's. My SS has a new exhaust system now which is made up from the following components: Hooker Super Comp Headers, Pypes 2-1/2" stainless steel exhaust system with X-pipe, and Flowmaster Super 40 mufflers. The sound is even better than before!

@extracredit100, A little bit, however the X-pipe I have now really helps smooth out the tone. With the new Super 40's the sound is now deeper and louder without any addition drone.

Thanks! My SS will have a new exhaust system within the next month. The new system will have a 2-1/2" ss Pypes x-pipe, Flowmaster Super 40 mufflers, and Pypes tailpipes. The current system is a Flowmaster 2-1/4" h-pipe, Flowmaster 50 series SUV mufflers, Flowmaster tailpipes, and 3-1/2" ss angle cut tips. I will get more videos of the new system like idle in car & out of car, 0-100 in car, 0-100 drive by, etc.

The American Thunder systems are louder than the Force II systems that Flowmaster makes. It's still not loud enough for me!

VERY NICE still bro. this vid made me get the same setup, just without the 3" exhaust, that aint cheap. i just put some clear image headers on mine and it sounds so much better. oh and is that a corvette starter i hear? do u have anymore videos or pictures of your ss.?

The mufflers that came with the American Thunder exhaust system are just the standard 50 series 3 chamber. I plan on replacing the mufflers with some Super 40's to get a deeper sound and more flow.
