You got it wrong. Islam DOES promote violence and prejudice. It does create seperation and bigotry. It corrupts the human mind into irrational thinking. All religions do. Islam simply happens to be the most harmful religion in todays world and people should be made aware of the flaws in religious dogmas.

I know you're indoctrinated with the presupposition that if you so much as doubt your "almighty creator" then you may be subject to eternal torture in hell but think about why Islamic doctrine is so fearful of doubt and criticism. Why does the Quran constantly say that if you have doubt about your creator, you will burn in hell forever? Anything that's true doesn't fear criticism, it welcomes it.
