Notice the blue book at 2:49 "Familiar Quotations". It has 2 profanities that are partially hidden but you can make out what they say. One quote at the bottom of the book is "go to hell" and another is "damn the torpedoes". These animators slipped in quite a few over-the-top scenes in their cartoons during a time when the Hays office had tight control on things like profanity and sexual situations.

He was a big flirt with women on the sets of his movies. People who knew him including Glynis Johns laughed out loud when someone asked if he was gay. Producer Perry Lafferty said he saw no evidence that he was gay in all the time he knew him. He did have a few affairs with women which have been documented. Shirley Maclaine was one of them.

@PissedPlayinPimp - Yes, that sound effect was his trademark with his later cartoons. That might be my favorite of the WB sound effects. I'm sorry WB couldn't have recorded it and made it a permanent sound effect after Clampett left the studio in 1946.
