It's neither progressive trance nor deep trance! Imo, it's an evolution of what was progressive house which was pioneered & championed by the likes of Sasha & Digweedback in the late 90's..

@tasostsirios Sorry dude, but you are wrong!! Sasha & Digweed both started out as House Dj's and moved on to the progressive sound in the mid to late 90's.

The Gobal Underground Cd's that you mention was not just Trance, Tony De Vit (hardhouse), Danny Tenaglia (us house), Darren Emerson (tech house) and some of the newer releases such as Adam Freeland & the Plump Dj's (nu skool breaks)..... You probably think Tiesto is the best Dj in the world... Trance is dead mate, move on!!

@DirtyThumper i think tiesto was the best dj in the world and that's a fact.the differnce between house and trance isn't big , when we talk about the newest genres of house music.i am 23 years old.and since i remember digweed and sasha they ve played top progressive trance anthems such as:stargazer,words,x-pander,mr­.tiddles and more.and for the history,i dont listen to TRANCE.i listen good electronica,whatever style.

@tasostsirios mate I'm 36 and seeming you're only 23 tells me you were not even old enough to remember such Dj's playing quality house, do some research, try Renaissance where the two perfected their legendary mixing ability together or further back to Shelly's where Sasha first cut his Dj skills.. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy electronic music too.. But I have to disagree with your opinion on tiesto! why do You believe his is the worlds greatest Dj?...

@DirtyThumper it seems that you have a lot of experience,according to your age.i didnt got you wrong.we re just talking about our mutual interest. i said that tiesto WAS the no1 one dj,and you ll find out too,if you watch tiesto in concert and listen to these 40+ tracks he presented back in 2003.so far from his time,he changed the sound in trance music.nowdays,he s just a rich mainstream dj. my top 10: infected,skazi,tiesto,chicane,­gabriel&dresden,solarstone,hal­lucinogen,armin,lutzenkirchen,­umec
