How to make xbox 360 12v and 5v switch

what type of toggle switch did you use.. an on/on an on/off/on or an on/off.. I was going to do this with an on/off/on toggle switch but had major alarm bells when i saw my pin configuration was (1) live (2) earth "middle" and (3) live figured my xbox would fry.. Could you clarify this please

Hey man i have a question and a comment at the same time. It doesnt matter if you have 1000 cfm going through your console, most of the time ur console overheats its because of when you shut it off, all the Processors still produce heat, I've test the temp at the heatsinks and it spikes up to 10-30 degrees after you turn it off. Now for the question. where Can I get a 12v source that will stay on a few seconds after the console turns off? btw i blew up my B+ from my fans. so it has to be diff.

how could a 12v fan draw to much power from the dvd 12v power supply? i do that all the time and have never had an issue, I have however seen boards go to shit from soldering wires to them. Whats cheaper a dvd cable or a new motherboard?

I think the thing where the fans don't turn off right after you turn your console off untillthe heat comes out is an update. It does it on my Zephyr mobo

the old halo 3 special console fan has that on it were it still goes for about a 1min it was the first xbox 360 to have that installed to it!

you could also get 12v from the wires going to the dvd drive. its the wire closest to the fan.

you can get 12 volt power from the dvd cable but what im going to do i'm going to use the 12 volt power supply then get a mini fan and use the 11.5 power supply area that you showed in the video so i will never get even a warm xbox360!!!

I wouldnt use the power from the dvd drive or fan that could seriously f up your dvd drive. just solder from under the motherboard where the power plug goes in.

hey i got the 0031 code from doing this to one of my xboxs but i didnt connect the wire to the under side i did it to the top to one of those black chips by the memory card slot on the left and while it was hooked up it touched the other chip and gave me that code do u no how to fix it???

pretty much the only way you can screw up enough to get banned from XBL is if your disc drive isnt plugged in when you connect to LIVE...its pretty simple to make these mods, and the only danger really is if you screw that up, and thats only a matter of plugging in the two cables to your drive .

xbl can not detect it no matter what anyone says mine is done this way and i have done many others like this no bans, and the plug not working you might of cut a trace or shorted somthing out only way to find it is look through it

Do the Fan power connection only give 5v? I bought a splitter for that so that now i have 2 3pin connections. 1 for the Stock fan and 1 for some LEDs.

The LEDs are 12v. So wont they work with that connection? And can i connect 2 cables to the same 12v point in the back?

yea, the stock pins are only 5v, and you can put 2 on the 12v pin
