Wow I was literally just thinking about how cool would it be to have him join velvet. He does sound like Axel in his best years. Would be perfect for getting that classic sound back without the jackass of a personality. He is distinct enough in his vocal style to bring something new to the table.

More like Bowie and Marc Bolan. Axl always sounded strained, like Ethel Merman on crack (I like Axl, but go listen to Ethel Merman, and tell me that's not somewhat on point). This guy is silky, like Bowie and Bolan. Even Ian Hunter. Then again, they are very art rock, like T. Rex, Bowie and Mott the Hoople.

I saw Spacehog gig at London Astoria II when they were promoting the Chinese album. Met Liv Tyler uptairs in the VIP bit, she was going out with Royston even then. Danny Goffey and Pearl Lowe were with her! Pearl was nice but Danny was a twat!
