i'm grateful to have learned a bit more Mandarin from Yangyang. It is a clear and distinct insight into comprehending a useful and future world language. Being an artist I'm sending my website for
你很漂亮。。。i envy u...my mom always tell me to go far away to take chinese lessons..she said that i am chinese and have to learn the language...it's a little expensive...ur videos are helping me...谢谢!
this might be a stupid question, but are you married? not cause i like you...wait, i do like you...but again...you know..i like every other beautiful woman..skip that, im asking cause you look alot better in your previous videos, you looked so young! maybe it has to do with age too...but yea, kitchen time, oh snap, im good..
I used some of this the other day when i walked into a Chinese food place ...In BFE Mississippi no less.and the lady's eyes got wide as dinner plates and she dropped the glass she was holding, she said shes been here 25 years and never heard an white American speak Chinese.. she even asked me if i could teach her daughters English!! i was like i only know a few phrases in Mandarin.shes like "Its ok you learn they will to..how much you teach??..she offered 50 bucks a day...dont know if i should
@HeroOfYourMisery i did..i give them lessons in english every saturday...im no linguist but hell i cant turn down 50 bucks a day. its actually kinda fun..
xie xie ni..=)..i hv a question,,,y da sound of "de" is real "d" bt my chinese fren said..in mandarin.."d" is sounds as "t"..hope lao shi can help me..^^
i wanted to know why chinese people don't accept complements ... Wo jué de that is not borring at all ... is a part of your culture you shoudn't facilitate so much - don't stereotype people (if they really want to learn, that will regardless the difficulty
@Skabeeri It is a dialect, dialect of northern China. that was long time ago, now the Government of China wants to unite the people by speaking 1 dialect which is Mandarin, and many people mistaken it for Language.
@sloppycheng wo hen xihuan ni de ke. wo de xue xiao you hanyu ke suoyi wo shuo hanyu yidianer. wo kaishi kanyikan ni de wangshang ke. ni shi zhen hao laoshi!
1:04 - The reason you put 'what' at the end is BECAUSE when you answer the question, you'd say...
The word 'because' should be replaced with 'that'. The reason is that the verb 'is' should always be followed by a noun, pronoun or adjective. 'Because' is a conjunction.
Awwe, she is so sweet! And cute!! Thanks for this video! I am gonna move to LA to take lessons with you soon, but mean while I will buy your DVD. At the website right?
Seems like Yangyang has developed a Chinese accent when she speaks English. I think it happens to many other ppl as well, such as Daniel Wu and Han Ye Seul. Is there really a tradeoff between being fluent in a foreign language and losing the American accent?...
@kne100 That's fantastic that you're interested in languages! :) There are always other alternatives, most obvious example is youtube and the internet. I'm sure there are a few really good podcasts as well, I think Chinese Learn online podcast is pretty good, I'm not sure about the website cause I've never used it. Goodluck learning :D
Hey YangYang, nice to watch your leson, there are very instructive, especialy about the tone, I've learnt chinese for about 1 year by myself and I'd like to know if you recorded a dvd for the next level (like not beginner but for people with already some knowledge). If not what could you advise me? Thank you from Paris
This video inspired me to pick up Mandarin as a side course in university. I thank you so much for this inspiration and your teaching is fantastically good. Xie xie :)
Hi I love your lessons, I would like to see some online fun stuff, like where you watch a movie and translate it by pausing ans explaining. Xie Xie Yangyang
@ismailyonlinetv chinese names are given by your parents, it's seperate from your english name so there isn't really a chinese version of your name, if you want one you just use chinese characters that sound similar to your name to make one for yourself :P i love how many people ask what is their name in chinese
You need to drop "shi", because in Chinese, adjectives function as verbs, and “piao liang" is already "to be ”piao liang". "shi" is assumed. You understand? :But thank you for the compliment. :)
