I dont know if importing models fron hl2 to after effects is possible:) Maybe you should try to import them to 3dsmax or smth like this, create animation, render and than composite in after effects

i found a plugin for after effects that allows importing of 3d models but thats a bit crud, i want to know how the guy made this video cheerss

Well, firt i used boujou to track the camera motion, in 3d studio max i made animations of the mech and render them as a video. Than i put the background video and the mech video together in after effects...

Well it's not fre... But because I am 17 years old and I dont work for money I downloaded from emule or torrent, cant remeber... It was thinstalled.

It's not so difficult but I have 4 core each one 2.4ghtz and 2 giga ram!!! It took me all the night to use a tool from boujou... I left my pc open and I slept... all night it was using my cpu...

how did you do the shadows of the mech?? boujou or other??

boujou is used for camera tracking only, shadows were made in 3d studio max
