Amy Pond annoys me... Everything is all about her... it's driving me insane. I wish she would just go away. Why can't she just... god, can't she just die?
@Dataacid Rory is okay but the hype over him is starting to piss me off. 'yeah, sweet, Rory is the new Chuck Norris. Great. He's a fictional character, get over it.' Matt Smith is fine in my opinion. I mean, I like him but I hate him cos he's just not David... but still... gotta give a guy a chance. :)
You know who I want back in the series? Martha and Donna. Both are such amazing, reliable, strong, tough, passionate characters! And yet they only get to be in ONE series. Rose Tyler got two. And now Amy Pond is getting three?? WHAT THE FUCK. We don't need just a "pretty face." We need a companion like Martha and Donna.
@agent502 I saw in an earlier comment that you said that Martha saved the day practically every episode. Now you wonder why people don't like Martha aside from Rose. Well here's my answer: She's a kriffing Sue! A bloody Mary Sue! Both you and Meangrl said it! She does everything, even the Doctor's job! Sue anyone? She's perfect! Smart, pretty, always saving the day etc. That's practically a recipe for a Sue!
@Meangrl19 Mary Sues are supposed to be beautiful and Freema is perfectly lovely, stunning even, but as the Doctor can't be bothered to even compliment Martha on how she looks in evening dress (Lazarus Episode), let alone fall down gasping in love at her startling beauty--(Remember the Doctor going gaga at Rose period dress in the Dicken's episode and Donna in the Agatha Christie one?!)-- you are right, Martha is not a Mary Sue. She Woman-Friday or Tonto.
@Bobsyermomsuncle Exactly. People calling Martha a Mary Sue is just ridiculous and I don't get it. The main thing about Mary Sues is that they are put up on a pedestal by mostly all the characters. The only character that comes close to be a Mary Sue is Rose Tyler, who was even put up a pedestal by the Master himself. Martha was constantly being put down by all the characters, not put up on a pedestal at all the way Rose was. She was actually getting the opposite treatment that Rose got.

She was amazing and she certainly proved herself and everyone eventually realized how amazing she was when she proved it, but that isn't a mary sue, that's a fantastic character. I'm glad you agree. Even with the Master when Doctor was playing damsel in distress for a year, Martha saved everyone. In almost every one of the episodes she saved him. So how did Martha not do aynthing?

@agent502 Most people don't like her just because she came after Rose. It's a pretty invalid reason for disliking a character. Oh and her crush on the Doctor. Which wasn't a big deal. Can you blame her for having a crush on him? Everyone's reasoning for disliking Martha is either because she isn't Rose, she complains too much (when did she complain?), and that they were getting sick of her unrequinted love with the Doctor.
@agent502 Sorry, but I don't think Martha was in love with him. She 'fell in love' too quickly and then got over it just as fast. It's okay for her to have a crush on him. She was treated so badly by everyone and she is being treated like that. Well I still love her! : )
@Meangrl19 I don't know why. All I know is it's unfair. And you're right; she just had a crush on him, but it would have been nice if he at least treated her nicer as a friend, and not somebody that he had to bring along. I still love her too, and I hope she'll be in the 6th season (series).
@agent502 He treated her like a doormat, but that's okay more Martha for us then. I love Martha, but I don't think Moffet will bring her back. He was very keen on not bringing Rose back so I don't think he'll do it with the others either. I don't want her on Doctor Who again anyway the Doctor treats her like dirt. She should have her own spinoff show. : )

@hazagracex I guess he felt that the new series companions were overused especially Rose, which is true. I think Moffat just wanted to give new companions a chance and Rose's story is over along with alot of the other new series companions. It's not that he is against bringing her back, but he felt she was overused as it is.

The Doctor needed Martha. She was his rock and soulmate. He knew it. But the idea of Rose hung on. Martha was smarter and had more depth.
