A couple of questions (I always have questions): As they were bringing the patient out on the gurney, was he unconscious and if so, why no oxygen? (Not trying to be critical, just trying to understand). Also, was this extrication performed by the tech rescue team, or a regular truck company?
Semi conscious...I believe they had applied o2 up above for a time and the guy was coming back... Also he had aspirated (you could hear the 'medic instructing to keep him on his side)as they were bringing him down... This was done by a regular truck- USAR was coming from out of the city and arrived as the victim was being loaded...
Usually pretty quick...In Long Beach, CA, USAR is based down near the Port - Right across from the Queen Mary... This incident was only 2 or 3 miles from that area...
do you know which stations responded

Toast-
On a call like this, what would the response time be for USAR? Where are they based?

By aspirated do you mean he'd thrown up and inhaled it? I'm guessing that's what that meant.
