Good point, but that isn't what I meant. I just have a dislike for the excessive moeblob direction 2010 anime is starting to exhibit (as evidenced by anime like K-On! and Ore no Imouto). It's not that I don't think they're good for what they are; it's just that I don't think going for maximum moe is better than caring more about plot or even action. But if this is the direction anime is going to go (even for now) I'm okay with that. I just hope for more non-moe quality anime.

@Takanashiv2 K-ON! is probably one of the only animes out there that can do moe with class. Ore no Imouto focuses more on tsun, but I suppose it still has some elements of moe. Also, if you're looking for an absolutely hilarious anime that doesn't feature moe, I would recommend Nichijou.

To be precise, the avatars aren't so much chosen by the users so much as representations of their most 'famous' creation on the site. J is pretty much most famous for shoving a random Kaibaman skit in the middle of his solo rendition, etc.
