Now the Iraqi gov. is Shia dominated and is close to Iran. I believe that the US and Saudis will support the Sunnis/Kurds vs. the Shias just to keep Iraq from becoming Iranian dominated.
Iraq , Afghanistan and Syria is just pieces in the bigger Iran vs. USA/Israel/Saudi struggle .
This is the prelude to a general Iraqi civil war....

Interesting that the Kurds sided with the Sunnis. At the start of the insurgency it was Sunni vs. Shia/Kurd/Coalition until of course the Sunnis got pounded real bad and were in danger of being smashed by the Shias and then the Shias(mahdi army) tried to take over.

You can, however, blame the British (Churchill) who forced those three peoples to live together against their will in a made up state (i.e. British "mandate") of "Iraq".
